One of my favorite genres of music would most likely be Indie Pop. I just love that it’s a genre that incorporates so many different sounds that all collide into this soft and meaningful rhythm. The artists who have their songs fall under this genre of music always have a mood that goes way beyond their lyrics, which I feel is the most important thing to have in music, something in your lyrics that’s deeper than the song itself. I can always listen to a Indie Pop song no matter the mood I’m feeling that day, which I feel makes this my favorite genre of music.
Not actually sure what the genre is called, but I'm rather fond of the music that's like "Chill Electronic". Something like this. EDIT: It's called Lo-Fi I guess
I like to listen to “Lofi Hip Hop” while I do homework or study. This genre of music is so relaxing and calming and really helps me study. One of my favorite artists is Shiloh Dynasty, she has such a soothing voice!
jazz classical and death metal (I guess whatever genre the diamond and pearl ost goes under would be included) Jazz - Can include just about every style of music, meaning you can get nearly any fix you desire from it. Also some of the most talented musicians ever are featured regularly in groups who play. For one of my tops I would recommend vilia by John Coltrane. Classical - shouldn't need explanation but it also has the same myriad of options present in jazz, also has the potential for unprecedented power in its music that can hardly be matched in other genres. Death - there are definitely some things that i dont like about it, but it in my opinion is the only genre with more energy and power than classical, although them mixed together is the greatest. In diamond / pearl / platinum id recommend listening to eterna forest, lake, and mt coronet to sample if you like it, but id say it is without a doubt the overall best game OST I have listened to.
Haha I enjoy just listening to "Top 40" and I guess what currently popular. Favorite spotify playlist is "Todays top hits"
Depends on what I am doing, but mostly EDM or Rap, but when I get bored and have nothing to do, I will listen to some older music which YT recommends lol.
I'm keen on classical music. Ever since I went on a music school trip to Italy it really changed my perspective on the genre and I've been interested in it ever since. Some highlight pieces I can recommend (if you can listen for that long. Classical pieces in general go a lot longer than your hip hop stuff) are Rachmaninoff 's Symphony No.2, Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, Dvorak New World Symphony etc. There are so many more I could blabble about. A new genre that I'm getting into is jazz. I just love the way musicians can improvise based on chords for an audience. The rhythmic swing and feel of the pieces are also quite captivating and make me want to move around.
I really like pop music, I think it's a really underrated genre that definitely has its drawbacks (Havana, Girls Like You, Senorita), but there have also been amazing pop songs throughout the years I cherish. When music is done correctly, it has the potential to speak to many people in a way most other media can't. Not everyone speaks English, but everyone understands music and the feelings you get with it. If you'd like an introduction incorporating some other genres, check out Ariana Grande and Troye Sivan. They are my favourite artists, mainly for the wide range of music they perform and the (somewhat) understandable situations involved. Troye Sivan often sings from a point of gratitude, thanking and apologizing to the other party after a breakup or something similar. Ariana Grande speaks more about falling in love suddenly, but her older albums take a slower, 'heavenly' approach most artists haven't really considered.
Hey! I mostly listen to chill - EDM music. This helps me study and zones me out. If you want to try some, I could recommend you some songs. Just PM me in discord and I'll be happy to send you some cool hits to listen to
I love love LOVE rap, both new and old-school. Although, if I had to choose between the two I would pick old-school rap. Snoop Dogg, Cyprus Hill, NWA, Tupac, Biggie, Wu-Tang Clan, etc. If anyone would like to recommend me some songs of any genre I would be glad to listen to them, just start a conversation with me on forums! <3.
I like mainly drum solo's because im a drummer, but if it had to be a genre of music probably rock. However I detest pop, raps and country. My favourite drummer is Nick D'Virgilio who works at Sweetwater as a Drums Content Specialist ;)
hey there! personally, i absolutely love rap. i really like the beats and the overall meaning behind the lyrics. i also like lo-fi or pretty much anything with a nice beat :) ~iceiu
I take a huge liking to more electronic dance music genres, such as EDM, Trance, and Techno, with even some more of the harder stuff like UK Hardcore/Happy Hardcore and Hardstyle. To top it off, I love rock as well.
So I have a veerrry expandable range of music. I love rock, heavy metal and deathcore but I can always get down to listen to Ariana grande on a good day. I can listen to indie music and then listen to a musical. i can listen to the hit songs of the 70's and 80's and then listen to dubstep. I like any music that I can feel a beat towards.
