Next season can we not get told early about any resets until there is an exact date. Every day there are multiple messages in chat about people wanting to know when it is happening. Then people stop playing because they know reset will be *soon*. Just today alone I saw people come in that i recognized names from when I started asking if reset was happening. It's all they care about and it spams up chat with 10 different people asking. Just an annoyance seeing that in chat when people can still be doing stuff if the time frame is unknown, people will still be playing and better populated servers make the game more fun instead of people complaining about reset not happening yet, dead server, etc etc
The reason people are eager for a reset is not because they have "been told early" but rather because historically, a reset in November seems most appropriate when considering how previous resets have been spaced. The server is dead - whereas in the weeks following a reset the online count is over 250, it currently hovers around 35 as far as I've noticed. We're ready for the competitiveness that you really only get in the first few months of a reset. The time frame really isn't that unknown - sure, we've not heard anything from the owners, but all signs point to a November reset. People don't stop playing because of an upcoming reset, we stop playing because the game gets boring after reaching a certain plateau.
i can understand that, but I am not as worried about the server being dead as much as people will spam messages asking about reset, someone will answer saying don't know yet, and they will keep asking, just gets annoying seeing that as the only thing in chat
Hey sfspectre, This happens on every sub-server. No matter how much we tell people that no reset is yet planned, they will continue to ask. Typically we announce the reset 5-7 days before the actual reset happens.
@KierenBoal can I please get the OK to make a bot that autoreplies to people asking about the reset with "No one but owners know when the reset is until it's announced. This has been answered (number) times. Please stop asking"
Feel like it would kind of take the thrill out of playing the sub-server if you knew exactly when the season was going to end the very moment it begun. The only reason they announce resets a week or so early is so people have time to prepare for it. Anything longer than that is just too much. And as for the OP, as Kieren said, people will always ask regardless of if the reset is actually planned soon or not. Though everyone is probably just getting a little antsy since Survival already reset, and Skyblock should be due soon.
As said this happens on every sub server. Prisons is next then factions and then skyblock. You still have around 3-4 months to wait until reset. The long season and people wanting to quit might motivate people to explore other sub servers more as It does to me. So I think it is all good just wait a couple more months.
One sub server a month gets reset. Some have a shorter season than others. So if it's the first of the month and your server is still up, you're safe for the rest of the month.
