Dont pass these off by saying "over saturated topic" I could make the cure for cancer and that statement just makes you look like you cant criticize. So if you have a negative opinion about this post, please leave genuine critisism.

    1. /disable effects. This could decrease lag on slow computers, and could get rid of some I personally find annoying.

    2. Smaller servers, and more of them. Less people in a server means less lag. The lobby is basically a intersection at this point. You want to get and go ASAP.

The ability to disable your particle effects is already in the game? In the main lobby you can type /effect or /effects and if you click the barrier near the bottom, it toggles your particle effect(s). If you mean particles in general, then, in your Minecraft settings you can turn particles off.
I think subservers are fine as they are currently. A second subserver was added for the subservers that were getting too big (Prisons and Skyblock). If other subservers began to get too big, during the following season reset, a new ‘version’ would most likely be added. Example; Factions 1 and Factions 2.
If I didn’t understand some of your suggestions please correct me but use my discord that is below.
    Have a wonderful day!

For the 1st point if the player had optifine he could simple do what u have suggested, and if you don’t have optifine you could there are 3 options you can choose from that can decreased the amount of particles seen.
And for the second point I am not sure

For the second point, more servers would be more taxing, and thus cause more lag? Sure, there would be fewer people per server, but keep in mind that the server configuration will be changed, as well; more RAM will be dedicated where needed, not just wasted. I think the server sizes are fine for now, and there's really no need to change anything.

As Imconcerned said, you can turn off effects in your MC settings. Also, I don't think the size of the server is the thing causing the lag, and even if it was that would be a ton of work for little improvement.
