Hey how ya going. I’m Deven. // USELESS LORE - YOU CAN SKIP AND DO THE POLL IF YOU WANT// I used to play Minecraft Central a lot in its early years. I particularly found myself addicted to the classic Survival Games. It was more of a mini-game based server back in those days. I never interacted with the forums at the time, or any other players by any other means. As I was 14 and only had access to a computer when I walked to my local library. But I was addicted. The spawn/hub wasn’t nearly as massive as it is today. It was much smaller, but better than anything I could dream of building on Minecraft. You were able to join different lobbies simply by clicking a sign underneath the game category you wished to play. There were paid ranks at the time, but only 2. Not like the many ranks with a multitude of perks available to purchase today. It was simple, basic even. But I never forget the IP. I went on to play so many different servers. I made so many creative & survival worlds which I’d go on to abandon. Only once in awhile peeking in on the many changes that were made over the years to MCC. Eventually, I caught wind that they had opened Survival, Creative, Factions, and many other modes; most of which I’d never played or heard of before. My friends and I were sick of our boring old survival world we were stuck in for eternity. It was beaten to death. Full mob farms, all diamond gear (no netherite back then), dead dragon, and trades on trades. We were stacked, and bored. I suggested we switch to a server for a change and play something different. They agreed and we tossed around a couple different server ideas. Finally I landed on suggesting MCC. They had modes I’d never heard of which at that point were a few seasons in. We threw the “mc-central.net” IP I could never forget. It was my P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. (epic finding nemo reference) We loaded the server up and weighed our options. Survival or Factions could be fun, but we’ve been doing that kinda thing for so long, we want something mindless. They have Creative, but again, that takes a lot of thinking power. Ah of course, the classic Minecraft tycoon. Prison. At this time there were 2 prison servers. (Yeah, they were so active that they needed two of them .) We didn’t want a lot of competition, so we decided on P2. We loaded in and began our prison journey. Prison was easy for us, you just start at mine a, and make your way to mine z. We weren’t interested in prestiging or anything, this was just something we’d do for awhile. You know, until we felt like going back to our other world. So, we all hung out and mined together. Talking in discord for the rest of the night, all of us making it to like K? I think? We were thrilled we found something we could mindlessly play and talk while doing. We all went to sleep, and looked forward to the next day so we could play again. I can imagine I only have so many characters to type here. Although this is only where the story begins, I’m gonna leave it up to the readers of this discussion. Do you think MCC could get back to its prime days? Where the server is bustling, lots of chatter, friendships that will last years being built, and games being gamed. MCC Still has a chance. They can bring it back. I believe in them, do you?
