Instead of us having to bother staff and find a middleman every time we want to buy or sell mythical keys it would be a lot easier to just have them as physical items that we can trade that way we can do it in /trade instead of having to directly give it to them on the buycraft store.
Hello there, I would agree with this idea. I think it would also prevent people from scamming each other or them saying that they didn't get the keys but they actually got them. It would also be way more easier for people that do lots of deals. I am a +1 on this idea.
Yes but if there is a dupe this won't br good like they had money dupe last reset but i think they should add it
Hey Reaper! Before I begin, thanks for completely robbing me on prison -_- Anyways, I think this idea is a +1 from me. There is ONE minor problem with it, however. When a flash sale comes up for a holiday or server reset, people could stock up on keys and sell them for the original price once the flash sale ends. However, I don't really see how that would be too big of a problem, and if it did hurt the economy then it would be minor. Overall, I like the idea. If this was implemented, Firstly, there is many different subservers on the server and you can’t have the key as an item on every single one. You get to use the key on any subserver of your choice currently and, if you intend to use it on, for example, prisons, but then later on you start playing skyblock and you want to use the keys there then how will you be able to transfer the item to a different subserver? Also, having keys as items isn’t such a good idea because of a ‘black market’ that would be created... Let me explain this; So, as you know, whenever a subserver resets, there is a 40% MCC Store sale. Say, for example, a player purchases 10 mythical keys for 30$ ( the usual price of $50) Later on in the seasons of subservers, players will be trying to sell their keys for PayPal money. Players that have purchased their keys for $3 but the price of them now is $5, will be trying to sell them to people for $4 each. The seller and the buyer will benefit from this and the server will have less of an income if, the amount of keys currently being bought during sales, is brought up to nearly 100%. We do not want players creating little mechanisms that mean that they make small irl money profit from. If we had the keys as items, players would 100% be trying to sell them for Irl money even if it is against the rules. Players that are immortal rank, recieve 1 key per month and the players that do not play anymore and have immortal rank will, log on after a long time will most likely want to sell these keys for Irl money. I think that the keys should stay as they are currently so that keys can not be traded amount accounts. I think the way that Irl trading works currently (where you have to find a middleman on #support in discord) works just fine as it gives the newer members of the staff team (helpers) more experience and trains them to help people and how to deal with situations where players try to scam. These are problems that may occur and sadly, with a large community like MCC, it is almost certain that at least one person will try to do this. ImConcerned made a very good point! Couldn't have said it any better. Many issues would come along with making Ancient keys/Mythical keys actual items. As ImConcerned said, a sort of black market would be made/worsened by making them items. The server already has alot of people trying to get paypal from in game items and people easily bypass this by using another app which they make the deal on.
I don't agree with this as maybe some people would be death trapped on Prison and Factions and it would be so frustrating losing stuff that you paid IRL money for and if death trapping wasn't allowed on some sub servers then i would want this idea to be added. Have a great day. :D
To add on what i had said earlier, making keys items could pose a risk for the server. Someone could create a duping glitch making tons of these keys which they didnt spend any money to get and now they have hundreds. This is another reason why i think keys would never be created into items.
I'm sure the mods keep a eye on that though. If it did happen people caught would be punished severely.
Hey! This is a -1 from me. If this was a thing, keys would lose the property they always have had. They work on any subserver, and survive resets. If they were physical, they could only exist on one subserver each, and would be deleted every reset. -Inj3ction
They can be developed to where they are added to and subtracted from the current script. So whenever the season resets just make sure to put them back in your buycraft balance. And you only need to take them out of your balance when you want to trade them.
Hey! I don't think that this is a good idea. Many users have already commented their opinions and brought up some very good points. Duping Having the keys as physical items would make them vulnerable to duping. There are luckily ways around this, and MCC has done similar things to other items in order to prevent duping. Server Resets If a server resets, it would mean that all of the keys are gone. This would also mean that each sub-server would have its own Keys, and they wouldn't be shared even between realms. Having to refund the price back to a Buycraft balance would be confusing and clumsy. You would need to buy these keys again after each reset. I don't even think that there is a way to refund things automatically. Overall I think that a change like this would not work.
I Dont Think This Is A Good Idea, 1 reason is that you will not keep the keys cross season, you can also get scammed alot easier (people can kill you with it) and finally, if there is a duping method, this will completely break the game.
