Please make a rule where if someone constantly keeps harassing/spamming a user in chat using alts while being /ignored, they can receive a ban on their main & alts and if they continue using alts then they will get an IP ban. Please make this a rule because I keep getting harassed on stream by someone after I do /ignore!
Definitely a -1 from me. Its an alright idea, but if you get muted on 3+ accounts you get banned for Mute evasion. Also, How would staff know who the alts are. I would assume off an IP check but if someone is harassing you so badly then /chatreport them and if they do it on 3 or more accounts they will get IP banned. Hello Mr CoolDragon, I can see the legitimacy in your idea, and it is annoying when the player keeps coming back on alts. But there are a lot of flaws that come into play when implementing this and it is very avoidable. Such as: - Which kind of punishment would this fall under? I would assume Gameplay offence but Severity 2 or 3 would be too severe for something like that. Therefore, Severity 1 gameplay but those do not count towards and IP ban. (Where any mute would) - Staff do not get a list of which are ignored by that player. And if they do, then admins would more than likely be the only ones to have access to it which creates a lot of extra work. - Being /ignored is not a mute. I would never be able to see anyone get IP banned because they were ignored by one person on 4 accounts. It just sounds like a weird reason to get banned in my opinion. All of those reasons are really backed up on the point of if you are getting harassed too much and have to continue to keep ignoring them, then just simply chat report. They would get IP banned if muted on three different accounts, and if you have to ignore 4 different accounts cause they keep harassing you, then that player would end up getting IP banned. So just like everyone else in this thread so far, I am also -1 on it.
