Hey everyone! We'd like your feedback on Season 12 of Skyblock. If there's anything you want changed, added or even removed, here is the best place to put it! Alex and the QA team will be looking to this thread to see where they can improve. All constructive feedback is appreciated.
As an "OG" Skyblock player (I consider myself that), I am fairly content with this current Skyblock Season. Myself, along with Team Exodus, are grateful that some of our ideas were heard, and implemented. Your acknowledgement of our ideas shows that MCC Skyblock is still chuggin' along. We are all long term players, who have played back when Skyblock first started out, and we are a little upset that there is no recognition for past Skyblock winners. I would have liked to see the implementation of a "Legacy Hall" which would have featured past winners of Skyblock. This addition would be a nice thing for "OG" players to visit and reflect on. I am excited to see how this season turns out, and I want to thank those who have been in charge of making the Skyblock subserver the best it can be. EXODUS ON TOP
As an OG and Community Speaker Starting from Season 10 and moving forwards The SB2 Community would like to know that if there was more time what things could have changed such as adding a /furnace command or even making sure that enchanted items like sell wands and blocks or skyblock tokens cannot make prisiamne blocks etc. Nether looks great no complaints there. I would like to say that a few more minor commands wouldn't hurt but we understand that this was a long process to make the reset :D. If I have anymore to say ill make another message Thanks for the new biome and update guys.
I found most of this season's changes agreeable, and I think the nether islands were a great idea. In terms of new features, I have a few suggestions. Namely, I think the skill tree should have some more substance to it and that the emerald vault should not hurt the value of your blocks. If 25% of emerald levels are lost, all the top islands will simply ignore the feature to stay ahead and destroy their islands anyway. And the skill tree complaint is more opinion (plus I'm not sure what would make it more interesting anyway). Besides that, I'm a little disappointed in the way that the crop and mob meta has yet again remained unchanged. It's not like nether wart is bad, but after a year it just gets boring and makes it feel as though the devs just don't care. Thanks for reading, and I hope you take my thoughts into consideration!
I enjoy new content as it changes the gameplay and there have been some QOL changes. My one suggestion is probably changing the grinding meta, whether it's a new spawner/crop meta.
Season is still very fresh so hard to review all the new stuff. seem like nice additions but not sure if it changes how ppl will play the game. It would have been nice to not have SG's and NW ast main economy for third season in a row. Also as an euopean player it's sad that the season started again late on a saturday night, ppl that want to compete on the quests/challenges are already running behind due to reset on sunday morning ( hardly any time trying daily or even weekly one). Hope next time it can reset on an other day.
hello, BOSS BATTLE: I think you should bring back the old boss battle from about two seasons ago. The old boss battle was held in a separate server, everybody was on an equal playing field and you did not lose anything when you died. Doing boss right now is literally not a consideration for me at all because I know I have absolutely no chance against teams with myth armor. And if I did have myth armour myself, I would not want to risk losing it especially since there's some strong teams out there who will target you for your expensive gear. I must add I'm not an active skyblock pvper so maybe I'm not the best person to look at for pvp related changes. But, the old boss battle is something I have missed since previous seasons and something I always participated in despite not being a pvper. ISLAND PERMS: Can we have an option to let trusted players access the nether island bots? Currently it's just people on the island who have the right to do so.
Hi, An option to see how many lava fish an island has fished and how many blocks an island has mined would be cool. The emerald on /is info only shows how many crops farmed and how many mobs killed, but all four things are skills/amplifiers. Thanks.
Good Changes: This season brought a lot of changes that were asked by the community and brought into skyblock properly. Personally, I am a big fan of the whole concept of the nether including the phantoms, the emerald storage, and the lavafishing. I also enjoy the fact that they improved the skills/jobs function from survival and made the cap 250 instead of 99 to allow for players to have more things to achieve later on in the season. I like the farming, fishing, and slayer skills and I believe that the rewards for them are adequate. I personally don't know how I feel about the miner skill as players seldom ever go to mine ores from the generators and the ores that players mine outside of the nether from placed ores don't count towards the miner skill. They should make it so that if any block is broken with a pickaxe such as regular stone , it would give 1 exp so that by building and breaking you can level up as well. Regarding the emerald storage, I think it should be made so all valuables can be put into it with the 25% reduction so that if players wanted to they wouldnt have to place diamonds or other ores either (allowing players to make their main islands purely for farms, grinders, and builds). Personal Opinion: Similar to kenkojuko I am disappointed that the crops and spawners meta have remained the exact same. Before season 10 every season had different meta grinders and finding the best grinder for each mob was part of the fun. However with sgs being the main spawner source this season once again, players who have played the past few seasons can just copy grinders and farm designs. In addition they copied the same pvp map, which many pvp players have shown a disliking for due to it being too big and spacious. Just a fresh meta would be more intersting for returning players, but the new nether update should provide enough new content for players.
New nether definitely step in the right direction, as others have stated that nw/sg combo is very old and I'm bored of it.
I like everything including the new nether realm and new features added to the server. My favorite part of the new season is the new Skill level feature.
Look, I'm an OG, I've literately played every season virtually, a lot I end up quitting at the start of the season, I know it gives markey and vislo and nice sum of profit, but every single season whatever changes are made to make it more balanced for rankless and other players, the server is VERY pay for profit. Ranks gives exclusive kits and perks. Keys give exclusive stuff. you can litteratly spend a bunch of money and automatically be island top from the amount of value transfered from the items you get. In the nicest way possible, this makes servers like hypixel inherently better, and no.. I'm not saying that from my opinion, because I love MCCentral to bits, its an amazing server. I litteratly played it when I was 8 and my brother was 12, now he lives in Mexico and I still live in england. Ive also made amazing friends which some, I do not keep in contact others I do but thats pars of parcel in playing a block game haha XD.It plagues every single season, and I keep trying to get back into it but I can't because its too ridden by keys still. and Yes, you are trying really hard to change it and also profit is necessary for the owners and tbh they deserve, but you want completely transparent feedback, here it is. that being said the recent improvements are really solid, however I will probably quit mid way through as per every season. Have a good day and thank you for listening. Also a change in spawners and economy would be a really prefered option every season, after the last few seasons it has been the same, and I know thats becuase you have found what works, but for us a change in the focus would be really nice, as long as it works for both ends. <3 Please dont just silence me, this is just my opinion, Id love to see who agrees and disagrees with me :D. P.s Im dyslexic asf haha, sorry.
First Thoughts It's a fairly decent update with all the features included. In agreement with a lot of what has been said, I feel it is best to implement a variety of new changes; spawner changes for more creative grinders, more enhancement on what each crop gives instead of only points/tokens, and a lot more with what we could do with our islands. Early Game/IDiversity As for how the update feels, for now it feels rather fresh, aside from the same meta as last season. The Basic Hoe was great for rookies, but the Premium Harvest Hoe feels standard from last season. In addition to each upgrade, it just feels repetitive after a while of grinding. MCC is a great server and I mainly play for Skyblock, but I'm hardly in the nether. People hire to do the work for them for the same reason, it's more of a hassle and for rookies/lower ranks, being hired is the ideal start. But they too should have benefits starting off, as flying gives us, donators, a huge boost! Whilst I understand that ranks give initiative to buy, most players get bored of not having our advantages. From personal experience, I bought my girlfriend Emerald for the same reason, she said it felt boring and unfair. Maybe including temporal fly for rookies much like temporary perks, rare but possible. And they shouldn't be payed for, they should be grinded out for the gratification of accomplishing something in the game. Challenges have a lot of potential for the less fortunate who can't afford the ranks but dwell on the Skyblock experience. Econonmy I personally bought 30 myths this season, (I know, why do I do this to myself), and got 1.2mil off the start. I managed to make a full 96x96 netherwart farm easy. But this just gives more benefit to those who can afford the main meta of the game and just feels stale. It's awesome how many players start to play and then mid-season, the playerbase has drastically died down. The economy just gets worse, and I sometimes feel awkward having a rank because I see how good the lower ranks do with the minimum given to them. IRL deals also instill the idea of paying equals better. Prices are high, but no one can buy those apart from, you guessed it, ranked players with a ton of access to easy cash. Don't take this as a bash to ranks, I'm also one of them, but man has it made Skyblock easy yet hard to get used to. Nether/Robots Not too big on that since I could care less about skills. The Farming Bomb has ruined the satisfaction of netherwart, just haven't gotten used to it. I never liked other servers that utilized robots, I like doing things personally to keep me entertained. Lava fishing has its goodies but I'll never get to it because I can just grind warts with my Premium Hoe and buy the treasure I'd have to wait out fishing. Emerald Vaults take away from placing and adding to our islands to show off our wealth later in the season. I'm never in the nether, it was pretty eh for me. Conclusion MCC will always be a main server to me whilst Skyblock exists, but seeing how rookies start out and complain over obvious issues ranks offer, I'll never feel content with that. Plus, with those players who shame rookies for not being able to buy themselves a rank is disgusting. Parents sometimes have to save every penny and those of us who do have ranks should be happy that we can afford it but not make others feel inferior for not having that same cash. Skyblock feels great early season, but once everything is like last season with grinders and not many players, the competition will just be too far off to even bother playing. To all the ranks out there, I don't blame you guys for the advantages given, I bought Immortal for the same reason, it just feels so much easier to cope with everything Skyblock requires, and having to shift to build out a whole 96x96 layer would be a nightmare. I just hope MCC does something to give those frustrated rookies a better experience, especially those who are barely getting to know this amazing server! -Karmicc
I love the new reset, but I feel like it's getting too similar to the Hypixel skyblock and I love MCC skyblock because of its more work-hard natural approach to skyblock. Also starting with a basic hoe is convenient but not practical. I started 2 days ago and I already have a premium harvest hoe. It makes everything easier to achieve. If we removed starting with a basic hoe, so you have to buy it at shop for 20k, the economy would be more stable.
