Team "ranks" To prevent grief

I partially like this idea. I think that you should have the choice to have an island like that, or one like it currently is. A lot of people are really good friends on the island together and enjoy having the same privileges.

 

Seems cool. I think member should be able to activate redstone, cause that'd take a shit-ton of weight off my shoulders.

I would love an idea like this to be added to Skyblock because this season I have been griefed about 3 or 4 times and one time was for around 250 creepers/rabbit spawners but luckily me and my island members got them back and it could be a good way to prevent getting griefed In the future but some people make chest sell shops on there spawners so that they don't get griefed and that is also a very good way to make sure that no one steals your spawners :D

 

Seems like a good idea to have a permission system just like factions has but also the server works fine as it is right now so it probably wont be added. Just have to be more careful about who you invite to your island and then a permission system like this isn't really necessary.

 

If this ever was to be implemented then there would definitely only be 3 ‘ranks’

Spoiler: Leader

Has the abilities that a current leader of an island has. (Can kick, promote, demote, invite, coop, lock etc.)

Spoiler: Officer

Has the ability to edit/mine any block on the island.

Spoiler: Member

Has the same abilities as a normal member of an island currently but, does not have to ability to mine/edit spawners.

This idea is actually quite good because of this reason:
In the rules under gameplay rules it states that ‘Scamming is only allowed in Prisons and Factions’. To scam on another subserver that is not mentioned above is not allowed and punishments will be carried out if players commit said offenses. This includes, joining someone’s island and once they log off, or straight away, you steal all their spawners and leave. Many players still do this even though it is punishable and this will stop the cases where players ‘do morning have sufficient evidence’ to report because they thought that they could trust someone but they ended up scamming.

Honestly this seems like a great idea. You should be able to change the perms for cooped players also, like no looking in chests or stuff like that

 

Seems like a good idea, but I doubt it will be added. Simply being that the server uses ASkyBlock, a pre-made skyblock plugin that anyone can download off spigotmc. If they wanted something like this they would need to actually code it themselves.

I completely agree with this, this idea has been suggested by many, including myself.
Although core inspect helps with finding who did it, it still doesn't help with actually preventing the grief itself. ​

Here exactly is what I suggest should be added |

Leader (Already Existing)
Co-Leader
Officer
Member (Already Existing)
Cooped Users

Now instead of these ranks having set-in-stone permissions, they could also add in:

/island perms (much like /f perms)
Opens a GUI listing each each Rank. When you click on the rank, it opens another GUI with all the permissions, such as but not limited too:

Adjustable permissions for Co-Leader, Officer, and Members:
➥ Island Invite + Kick
➥ Island Coop + Uncoop
➥ Island Ban + Unban
➥ Island Expel
➥ Island Upgrades
➥ Island Biome
➥ Mine Spawners
➥ Mine Diamond / Gold / Emerald Blocks or Dragon Eggs / Beacons
➥ Open other Island Member's Chest Shops
➥ Open other island Member's Private Signs

* Only Leader will have access to promote members to Co-Leader.
* Leader may grant Co-Leaders access to promote/demote members to/from Officer.

Adjustable permissions for Cooped Users:
➥ Mine Spawners
➥ Mine Diamond / Gold / Emerald Blocks or Dragon Eggs / Beacons
➥ Open Chests

And probably a lot more permissions.
