On my previous forums post, I talked about potentially adding in new features into minigames, and one of the features brought up was new maps. A lot of the MCC community are fantastic builders, and I believe some would be willing to join a build team if it was brought about again. Flying through the creative server, you can see many ordinary players with original and creative builds. Now I don't know the reason the original one was disbanded, but with demands of different updates in the aspects of the server as a whole, the building could be under control by the team who is primarily for it. With this said in my prior post, no new revamped maps have been added in minigames for almost 2 years. A build team would be able to specialize in this and make it a top priority. Let me know your opinions!
Hello! While I absolutely love your idea of possibly bringing back a build team, I don't think it is currently Markey's top priority at the moment. The current build team he has is for creating the spawn maps you see with different sub-server resets and as far as I'm concerned he has had no issues working with them and they've done a good job delivering for him. I'm not too sure it'd currently be in his best interest to try to form a build team right now, BUT I really like the idea of having a build team specific for minigames and potentially expanding if everything works out well! I love what you said here! I could see this definitely being considered once the revamp has been released and everything has settled into place. Going off of needing maps for different gamemodes for pre-release, I believe that some maps that have been built by certain community members/staff are currently being considered to be implemented once the revamp releases as well, so there should be no shortage of MCC's own giving back to the server in order to temporarily fuel the demand for new maps. Overall I could definitely see this being considered in the long haul once everything has been released and tweaked! It is just all ultimately up to the Owners and Administrative Team. Hello! Being a builder in MCC, not gonna lie I would like to see everyone make a team and build together, but.. Let’s be honest, we are not professional well atleast most of us. We are just normal creative builders and it will have the same problems the old build team had. The old build team has been closed since to, quoting Horace: “lack of professionalism” and the time it took for a simple map to be built, That’s only because they were not paid. So no doubt the current paid build team is way better. I do agree with you it will be better then nothing. Let’s not forget @Dionnysus is already making like 1 map every week cough cough admins add them already. To sum up I think it’s a bad idea to remake a build team that was closed for a reason. -1 -Oria
Ola Ola I didn't play on the server when the build team got disbanded so I haven't got a single clue how it functioned, how strict the application process was, and how they communicated. All I know is that it had quite some flaws. Right now the Build Team that builds spawns and mines and all is the LeadPro Team. They deliver insanely good quality if you ask me and haven't disappointed the community with their builds so far. Having a PROFESSIONAL build team to build your builds brings some Pro's; You know what you're paying for since they have a huge portfolio of builds, guarantee you'll get your build in time, and most importantly, quality. One huge downside with build teams is that they cost a pretty big sum of money. Spawns go for around 100-125$ USD depending on the size and quality. In exchange for this money, you do get the promised Pro's as I listed above. If you want to consistently have your server up-to-date you are in need of having your builds be delivered in time in exchange for that money. There are definitely some players within our community that could deliver awesome builds (Looking at the 2 people that have replied to this thread above :eyes:). But having a sub-build team that would do most of its work for free would simply not guarantee your builds being delivered in time which can result in postponing a server update which is really bad. After all most of those people would volunteer and therefore can't dedicate all their time to a project. A build team that makes simple things as minigames maps that don't have a set date to be released would be dope, however, I don't think it's necessary. Something that I don't like about the server currently is that the maps just stay the same and I do think a build team could maybe fix this. However, an easier solution would be to add an easy way for Admins to upload minigames maps and have maybe 3/4 staff members that help with the quality check of those maps. (In terms of looks and gameplay) As much as I would like to see a build team or have a tag myself that says 'Build Team'. I don't think it's necessary with the current state of the server.
Money isn't much of an issue for the paying a possible build team. It's more mcc going on with the idea. Monthly map rotations or something would be pretty cool. mcc also needs to change many of the maps from looking cool to being good to play on. a really good idea +1
