My connection to mcc has always been so weird to me. Being in NZ, its never going to be perfect, but it still baffles me, and over the past week something seems to have changed, and has made my connection even worse, let me explain: Whenever I used to log into MCC I would either get around 150ms, or 250ms, if it was the later, I would relog a few times in order get the best connection possible, this in itself is weird to me. But over the past week these connections have bumped to up either 250ms, or 350ms, with no sign of the 150ms that I used to get. This would all be well and good if it was my internet, expect I find that very hard to believe as my connection to any other server hasn't changed at all, neither has internet speeds, or anything else like that, its only MCC that I seem to be having this problem with. I understand theres not alot anyone can do to help, but I just thought I would put my problem out there.
Nothing seems to have changed, the range of my connection is still 250ms - 350ms. Has anything changed on MCC's end recently?
I know for me my ping has risen about 100ms at sometimes. What I did was if it was laggy or whatever I would just restart my computer and it would fix it that way. Might not work for you but that’s how I fixed my problem!
i also had this problem. with me being from australia, my ping was usually 180 - 220 which was very consistent. but recently it has gone to 400+ for no reason at all and many other people had the same issue that live in aus.
Personally I am in Australia and my ping is fine (Normally 180-200 and currently 187ms as of right now typing this). Those whom are having connection issues need to perform a traceroute to the server IP (mccentral.org) and provide us with the necessary data to identify where the networking issue lays.
I am also experiencing this issues (from Israel) , my normal ping is 200-250 but lately it just jumps sometimes to 300 and even 900 for no reason which I can see. Sometimes relogging to mcc solves the issue, but a lot of the time it does not. I am pretty sure it is server sided as sometimes while having 2 accounts on in same subserver one will be at 250 ping and other at 600, and even checking in other servers at same time the ping there is normal (and even on other games and on speed tests). How do I preform a traceroute to give the data?
If you are using windows, you need to do the following: #1) Open command prompt #2) type the following "tracert mccentral.org" #3) Wait for the traceroute to finish, screenshot the data and send it to me (you can send me a message here on the website). If you struggle, simply google "How to traceroute". This is a very common procedure in networking, and there will be guides all over the internet regarding this.
I had perfectly fine ping actually really good, then sometimes it spikes to 200 - 400 ms then goes back down idk whats wrong
