Hello all, Hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas, While I'm playing SW recently I noticed that some of the hackers are able to notice and recognize some of the staff members that are in the same game as theirs and stopped hacking or switched lobby, I feel like this can be easily avoided by allowing staff members to use /nick, this can greatly decrease the difficulty of staff member trying to spectate hackers and avoiding staff from getting harassed by hacker that is ban evading. Here is just a small suggestion~ hope this can bring the dev team some insight as to improving the quality of life for both players and staff members.
I'm pretty sure this has been looked at before but I don't remember why it wasn't implemented, it's a really good idea and looks really useful.
It sounds really good as the only other way is to get every staff to buy an alt account, but even then, hackers would find out who they are
I feel like /report is also something we need as a player, it's annoying to open my OBS record the footage upload to youtube open the forum and submit a report just to get rid of one hacker, having the option to /report will smooth out the progress of reporting and hopefully scare off potential hackers
I had the same problem too. As it turns out, you can upload videos to imgur(provided that they are under a minute) and staff will still acceot them.
hey there, I know /nick is something that has been looked into however it was never added and as kottle mentioned no one is sure why. Something that I do know which can make this somewhat useless for staff is when hackers have a staff detection mod, and that will bypass the purpose of having nicknames as they will still know you are staff. Overall I think this isn't a reason not to add it, I think it can be super useful as you said for people who's alt just got banned and they instantly log back on and toggle because I am still in their game. all in all, I hope this gets added in the possible upcoming Minigames revamp. -nikki
As said above. I do agree with you, in the reason you said for staff being able to seems. Seems reasonable, although as Nikki said, there are hacks and maybe mods to see who’s a staff in the player list. I believe this dosent need to be added for it wouldent change anything hugely. >Splat
Hey SniffableSugar! I hope you are having a lovely day :D From personal experience, I will have to agree with all of the people above. When I try and catch hackers myself so I can report them on the forums, A lot of the time I see that whenever a staff member joins the hacker leaves because they know that the person is a staff member so this command will be very useful for this. As Nikki_ stated above, hackers could use a hack which detects staff members but I still think that this would still be useful because most of the hackers would not have this. About the /report command, This has been suggested many times in the past but I doubt that it will be added in the future. Overall this is a +1 from me I hope you have a great rest of your day / night! Dm me on discord if you have any questions (: -boom
i feel like this is a big yes. although they do have a staff detection modification, it would still increase the amount of hackers punished by a good amount. overall i think it is a good idea. merry xmas! -nyfuh
