Make it so we fucking get stuff rolled back if we get scammed and we have proof like I got scammed on kitpvp a few times and never got shit back. Thats just fucked up since I lost money to a stupid kid scamming. Every other server does that apart of mcc...
Ok and? How would you account the coding needed to roll back 1 player out of the trillions of data that the server holds? Rolling back means rolling back the whole server back to a point where it was stable, this could be due to a failure of updates of a new plugin being installed incorrectly. My point being is that I have seen no server at all in my 2 years of MC development roll back the server for 1 player just to have their items. If you got scammed that is your own fault and you should be more careful with who you trade with. Your response to this has been 'immature' to say the least, why are you making such a big rant, swearing and lying saying that 'every server does this'. Sorry to put it to you mate but they don't. They will only roll back items if you have the screenshots of your items that you got scammed off AND this only applies if you lost them within a certain scenario like: 1) Server lags deleting your items, 2) If your chests/EC bugged out and the items are no longer there 3) Finally general losses of items when you had them the previous day and you no longer have them or able to locate them and have disappeared like that. Only these 3 scenarios in which I am sure MC developers would agree with me is the only reasons to why you should get your items back. Scamming is just a way of general MC and if you get scammed then you will have to learn from your mistakes and not get scammed. Scamming will never be punishable or gives the player to have their items back. The only form of bannable scamming is IRL scamming. Have a good day.
Sorry mr. Nerd but I think its pretty easy for them to take stuff from scammer and give it to a person that got scammed
I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean roll back the server data. I think he means go into the scammers inventory and return the items which can already be done with the /invsee command and the correct permissions.
It's pretty easy but you need a thing called proof. A recording. Also to mention that you use common sense to not get scammed and always have the other person go first.
True but staff need proof that he got scammed. Preferably a recording. I don't think staff will need to do this anyway because it's common sense not to get scammed. Also if you look at my: Also suggests you didn't read my entire post before commenting.
Yeah, no shit sherlock. Of course you would need proof. Also, what's your solution to this conversation: Person A: "You go first because I don't want to get scammed." Person B: "Idk man, I don't want to get scammed, I'm not going first." Person A: "I promise I won't scam you!" Person B: "Well, I promise I won't scam you either!" (I could keep going but I think you get the point). EDIT: If "scamming is just the way of MC," why is it bannable?
Well, a trading command could be implemented to stop scamming. This can also be done in half trading give the player half of what they wanted and then they give you the items and you give them the rest of the stuff that they wanted. There is no real solution to that argument because there is no clear outcome. I feel like the server needs to implement a trading command to stop this or if the player uses 'common sense' and thinks that if the player is sketchy then he has a right to move away and stop the trade. In all honesty, I haven't seen a player base complain this much about scamming in a long time. I feel like you either need to move on from it and learn from your mistakes, or you alert people of the scammer so that players don't get scammed.
It already is bannable. The problem is people still do it because they can get away with only a short ban for potentially a shit ton of stuff. Just to clarify: I don't think the ban time should be changed, I think that the solution is keep the ban but also return the items/money to the player who was scammed.
Hey Ign, If you're afraid of being scammed, use /trade for solely ingame items and a staff middleman otherwise. If you’re not going to apply these solutions, then record your trades and report scams on our forums so that the player at least gets punished. We're not going to rollback for 1 player, nor can we return items with no proof. Thread Locked.
