I want to make a Survival games map but i also want to ask the community for ideas / help !

Honestly at this point I wouldn't waste my effort on making a map for MCC unless they ever come out with a minigames update. It's been like 3 years since a new sg map was added, and that was only one map made by a (now ex) admin.

 

It's not about whether it gets in or not it's about enjoying the process and working with others.

 

I know, I'm just saying it would be better off getting suggested on another server that would actually consider adding it. Not saying it's a bad map, just MCC minigames are neglected asf.

 

We only care about the process and the enjoyment of the map. It improves our building skills while also keeping us cool and relaxed. As much as building maps are a long process they are very fun and require a lot of thinking to get the idea in your head correct. Not only does it build thinking skills but it also gives a sense of relief when completing a build just like a work project. Now when people are in separate work projects neither of them would discourage each other or tell them to disband their ideas. Now, similar to this situation, I don't appreciate people coming to our project with a negative attitude, discouraging and telling us not to bother with the map. We work very hard and spend lots of time working and thinking of ideas on our maps. Personally I think it's a beautiful thing that people can work together and create such things, I would encourage this worldwide collaboration. What I wouldn't do, I wouldn't discourage people from this collaboration, you will be surprised what people can really do when they collaborate and put their minds together.

 

Literally never said not to bother with the map. I said don't make it for MCCentral, it's never going to be added. Not because it's a bad map, or because you shouldn't make it, because MCCentral hasn't updated their minigames in literal years. Not sure why you keep taking it as a personal insult to your team & their skills, I honestly can't be more specific. Literally has nothing to do with the map istelf.

 

I was never taking it seriously at all. All I summed up was not to be negative towards others. You say it will never get in can really frustrate and lower people's motivation. Look, we can both fairly say neither of us has any idea if it will go in. I don't know if it's gonna get in neither do you. All I'm saying is when looking at people's builds it's more of a fun aspect and shouldn't be discouraging them it can really effect the effort they put in their builds. It's just rude and a not nice thing to do.

 

Like I already said, multiple times, and I'm now mentioning it again:
I'm not discouraging them from building.
How many times am I going to need to say that. I'm saying don't make it for MCC, at least at the present moment, because it's not going to be added.

I've been on the server since it was released, and I've watched minigames slowly decline ever since. Now it's just not updated at all. I've seen maps far better in quality, enough to say they're as good as every single other SG map on the server combined. Yet they never get added. Why? Who knows. The owners are most likely just lazy and focused around the subservers that make the most money. Obviously making money's the entire point of a business, but if you've ever worked in something like retail you'd understand just how much they go through to please the customers (in this case, the players). You want them coming back. Though explaining that alone could be an entire thread itself, so I won't go into detail here.

My point is, would you rather have your hopes crushed before you spend weeks/months on something, or after? Someone has to be realistic. If they ever decide to start updating minigames again, then by all means submit a map. I'd even encourage it. But as of now, from my personal experience being here 7+ years, it's not going to get added at this present moment.

tldr; Don't build FOR MCCENTRAL, save yourself the trouble.

 

I don't think you've read my messages clear enough, I never said you were discouraging anything in fact I don't recall saying that. I in fact said that what you did can make people feel uneasy about their builds and the amount of effort they take in. Not trying to offend you but just think about the message before you go off accusing people. Also, who are you to say it won't get added because the competition will end in the next year and within that big things can happen. 1000 things can happen in a day that could be one of them so who are you to judge what happens within a year? It has a fair chance just like all the other builds and we just do it for fun we don't care about the competition. Also, it doesn't matter how long you've been on the server. It says you just joined in 2019 so stop lying to me your just making yourself look like a fool. Look I don't know how many times I have to say this to you but we don't care if it gets in or not we just want the process and what people may think of the builds. We don't need unqualified people judging whether it gets in or not we don't care.

Also, the photos you see are almost a month old so who are you to judge by our progress that it is not good enough. I believe that it looks fine as I said it doesn't matter if it gets in because at the end of the day you've learnt something to improve on. :)

Who are you to call out the admins and call them lazy? They are people too they have jobs and work outside of Minecraft. They're not glued to their device all the time constantly making the server better they are real living breathing people, not machines. I think it's great what the staff are doing, things don't happen overnight you know it takes time, patients and even trust in one another. The admins can't constantly go on mc 24/7.

Also, I don't know why you are judging us about why you think our map won't get added. But in the end, we all learn something new. I don't think you got our point it doesn't bother us and we don't care if it gets in. We just want to do it for fun and see what people think. It's nothing big we are hoping for we just do it for fun and relaxation. Hope is a strong word and the power of it is immense but we don't care if it gets in we only search for learning different build techniques and if it gets in that's a bonus, not a result.

Though you're saying I joined in 2019 you do realize the forums have changed since the server released, or did you join after they'd already changed. I even have history as staff on the server wiki dating back to 2015, though I was even playing before that lmao. Calling me a liar based off my forums join date.

 

I really don't care how long you've been on the server for it doesn't tell us anything. The fact that we are arguing and you saying you have a history of being staff on the server explains why your not staff in the first place.

 

Literally brought that up as an example and proof that I'm not new. How about you stop making false accusations and then basing your argument around my response to them.

As I've said I really don't care how long you've been on the server. How about instead of being arrogant and arguing and discouraging us maybe go and look at some of the other maps. We honestly couldn't give a damn what negative comment you say. Life really isn't that serious and unfortunately, there are people who take it further online and no one cares. Literally all your points are you just saying it won't get in after we said we don't care if it gets in and even after that you said you've been on the server for a while after stating we don't care, on the plus side you have no physical evidence, therefore, how are we supposed to believe you?

All I ask is you to use common sense. If your starting arguments what do you expect people are going to say something back their not just going to stand there and take it. It's like hitting a ball against any kind of wall the ball will always come back. And note that whatever you say online no one actually cares, they will give their opinions to your response and that's all, what do you expect? In this situation, we are just asking for people's opinions in which people like giving, we didn't ask whether they thought it was going to get in we clearly asked what they thought of the progress.

 

As I've said we don't care if it gets in we're only doing it for the fun side of things. On the plus side, another server actually wanted our build for their survival Games. :D

 

For someone who claims to not care you sure seem pretty offended. Considering every reply to me has involved discouragement and negative comments. Despite me never ONCE saying ANYTHING like that. Jesus christ.
