State of the Server

It takes time to hire a staff mod, you need to gain trust for him to turn into a mod. But look right now at the amount of mods, don’t tell me that isn’t a lot. Maybe it can be another staff rank only focusing on this problem, which I think would be kinda hard to get together but it will be way efficient than today.

 

When I read such a post I laugh in my head. This server has fewer hackers then the Hive server does, which we should be really grateful for. (I'm really serious like hive has 5 hackers in every game most of the time) While this discussion has been talked in the past countless times from what I'm understanding there will be a new anti-cheat. The only thing that we players can do is report them and have faith in the staff and that this will be taken care of soon hopefully.

(Regarding inactive staff)

We truly don't know if they are really inactive. (We all live in different time zones) These mods have to moderate both in-game, forums, and on discord. This is a lot of work to do all at once. While most of these mods are trying to work their way up to a higher staff position. Which explains why there are so many mods. I do agree with hiring more staff but also keep in mind that takes time and like @OriAlfi said trust. Plus I believe you have to be mod and higher to ban people, which will only bring more mods into this server.

The rules for applying for staff just changed so most likely there will be less staff promoted over time now. Mods will still be staff but it's just something that staff have to deal with we have no control over it unless you decide you want to apply!

 

ah like the 50th post like this. there have been many different posts with the same points you made here, and i think you missed one point, that nothing is going to change. the anti-cheat is so old and outdated which confuses me with how big this server is. nothing is going to change no matter how many forum posts are made. rumors of a minigame revamp are likely false, so in reality not much can be done about hackers and also the moderator inactivity nothing can be done because thats just how mods are. from when i was staff, a few mods i knew would just get their minutes and wouldn't play for the rest of the month. it sucks relly

 

Hey, I just wanted to comment about the comparison with Hive. First of all, you can't compare MCC and Hive because they are both different servers with different amount of players. Hive has 100% more (sometimes even more) players than MCC, meaning that Hive usually has around 2.5k players, and MCC around 1k. Plus, Hive is 80% PvP oriented server, so it is logical that there will be more hackers, whereas most of the hackers on MCC are caught on the minigames, rather than on the subservers. Regarding the anticheat, it is just pointless discussion because even if there is a new anticheat, a new hacked client version will also be available for usage. However, the current anticheat is really bad and there are many safer and more useful anticheats.

 

If you're an active minigame (or skywars in particular) player, forum reports with a quick video recording are normally sorted extremely quickly. And, sure they come back, but it delays them, and helps clean up the community as a whole!

 

I don't really see that many hackers, they have a decent anticheat but client makers always find a way to bypass it. They're trying and staff is usually active enough to ban

 

Really, the hackers are annoying, but, rarely do I see em on any other mini game or sub server, they are really only on skywars... plus, there are MANY other forum posts just like yours dude, I made one too, and I was told that there will be a server wide Minigames update in the upcoming times (I don’t remember time)
Alex is doing all he can to get the best of anticheat, and it may be easy for you guys to find one, but trust me, there are many people out there who are out for blood to destroy servers with viruses and stuff, so finding a trusting anticheat may be hard, let’s give Alex a chance and a break with all these posts, ok?
He is a wonderful person, but he has a life outside of funding anticheat.
