I didn't know which forum to put this on, but I was playing and recording some footage for my youtube today. I had $8,754,811 money when I recorded. I went to a maze that someone made at /p h superbuttersheep, after trying to buy some prison tokens my money went down to $280,080 and the player denied me from going to their plot again. (I only got 20 sticks and no tokens after trying to buy some tokens.) I know I ran into a scammer but the weird thing. I thought I could just mine some more and then sell the ores to a trusted plot shops. After selling 50 diamonds for $1540.79, 103 Emerald for $3129.34 and 40 Blue Ink Sock (Lapis) for $1171.81. My money didn't go up at all. And it's at $293,016. Truthfully I panic a lot when I think I've done something wrong and I really don't know what to do. If anyone can help me that would help a ton. I really want to get my money back and carry on with my little series.
Okay so in this scenario, the best thing you can do is share this recording you had so staff can check if it was either a bug, or whatever is going on, from the two screenshots they can not really tell what happened, the 8 million you lost is probably gone because you got scammed but still if you have got the recording it would be great if you could upload it to youtube and share it in this same post for staff to check on it.
Sadly I stopped recording before going to the person's plot. I was just recording a little clip not a full episode. I wish now that I kept recording. I've been scammed before but not all my money in one go. All I did was go to a person's plot, completed their little maze and then went to buy prison tokens from them for 50k each. I got 20 sticks and the owner denied me from his plot, teleporting me back at spawn. (With my 8 million gone and just 20 sticks.)
Unfortunately scamming in the prison realms is allowed, that player scammed you and got away with it unlucky for you, still I meant the recording for the thing where you said that your money wasnt going up after going to the mine.
Update: After clearing my mind a bit and thinking some more. My money has been going back up after sometime spending at the mines. I have no idea what made it stop counting upwards, but it's gone back to normal now. From now on I'm just going to stick with the trusted shop plots and I should have known that that guy was a scammer but it can't be helped now. It was my fault that I clicked or well went to his plot in the first place. Wish me luck to the adventure of getting 8 million again.
This is a really common sign scam. In the future, I would advise you to /withdraw all your money and put it somewhere safe before going to unknown plots or accepting tpa’s, as well as clearing your inventory. ^ Scamming is allowed on prison/factions.
