make renaming armor bad things bannable/mutable/something else to avoid the extremely racist things people name their armor.
+1, though currently, this would technically already fall under a few rules. 1. Listing them in /ah - This would result in removal and if continued, ban for Obstruction of Server. 2. Doing [item] in chat - This would result in a mute (depending on what is said; Filter/Explicit/Slurs) Though, I like the idea of having a simple rule directly for this cause, I don't see it being added. If this were to be added, here's what I'd suggestion for the punishment. This would fall under "Inappropriate Items", Severity 1 (Gameplay Offense). I personally would love to see a new punishment for this but this really is up to the Admin Team & Owners. - Fox
i think renaming things to blacklisted things is fine and should remain as is, as there are already rules that stand where if u use " or putting them in ah, you can get punished... as already stated above by animated fox I agree the extremely racist stuff is banned, but not every player can user "/invsee" and most times, it doesnt make a huge difference for other players as long as they are not breaking rules ( or ah thing) so yk. i have so many items on survival anmed "***** catcher" and i love it, don't ruin it because you're offenceded.ed have a great day ly lots. jk im no homo. have a great day -1
I’m not talking about swear words like the B word, that’s whatever. I’m talking about the fact that a kitpvp player used rename scrolls to name there Armor ‘Officer I Can’t Breathe’ in black, and there sword ‘#BlackLivesDon’tMatter in white. That is so fucked up and should be bannable
While I understand that some players may rename their items with problematic and/or offensive names, I feel that the existing rules that apply to these situations are adequate to address these items. Issues only occur when these inappropriately named items are broadcasted publicly to the server - through means like [item] in chat or selling in /ah. Attempting to moderate the items that a user has in their inventory would be inefficient, unnecessary, and quite frankly overkill. Players could also claim excuses like "I just picked up this item in PvP" "someone threw this item at me" etc. An item sitting in a player's inventory with an inappropriate name, while offensive, is not actively affecting the gameplay and community environment.
I think this is a really good suggestion and if it's offensive to be said in chat it should be offensive to have on an item. No matter where you type the word it always has the same meaning. I read Reverse's comment and I liked that she said that a player can just say that they picked the item up or someone gave it to them, but maybe you can just ban renaming these words at all. We already have a filter that blocks your message if you type a blacklisted word so why not be the same for renaming. I'm sure there could be ways to avoid being filtered like adding spaces or numbers, but then staff should be updating the filter so its harder to even say these words at all.
I don't think this should get implemented as on prison theres already a system like this kinda. When i tried naming my sword female dog (ofc the swear) it didn't let me. Also its fine unless someone uses this to bypass the filter or offend people in any way. Like AnimatedFox said.
Hey, I agree. But i don’t know how they would do it. I don’t mind some of the inappropriate renamed items. But, It gets to me with racist or sexist names on items. I don’t know how they would implement this. But Like fox said m it would be a severity 1 rule. Fox goes more in general into the rules and what they would do.
