Factions Suggestions

    Factions is great - no denying that but that doesn't mean that factions couldn't have new improvements. I've compiled some of the suggestions I've heard, along with my own. Definitely feel free to comment on your suggestions, as this is nowhere near a complete list.​

    1) Events - Events would help keep the server alive and running throughout. The current events such as Koth, Raid Events, and LMS (last man standing) are fine, but there is room for more.
    • Boss fights could be implemented
    • fac vs fac showdown (where both have xxx cash to build a defense and a cannon within a time limit. There's a separate grace period and the world border is super small, so they only need to build one wall. Perhaps this is like the /duel command but between fac leaders with minimum bets placed.)

    2) expand /ce - custom enchantments are awesome. But there are limits to what the books can do and their usefulness.
    • I would introduce the destruction of items. (Placing books on an item has a chance to destroy the item.) This would be countered by white scrolls, which could be found in vote crates / envoys or shop.
    • Sword enchantments should be introduced, along with ax enchantments.
    • /Ce enchantments should have different rarity tiers, with the more XP spent the higher the potential payout. imagine if it took 60 lvls to get strenght II? There would be less wasted books, and XP grinders would become more valuable - and making the XP outpost more valuable.
    • I would create obi mine II, and nerf obi mine I (as I feel it was too easy to obtain)

    3) Buff heads - heads were a really cool feature when I first arrived on Mcc, but they've become lost to the ages. Head values are worthless, and unless you manage to kill someone important, a waste of inventory space.
    • My idea for this was to make heads were to be valued at 0.01% of a player's balance (to be taken from player upon death) + default value ($5) + value * kills/death ratio (possibly squared) to improve this mechanic. This would make carrying around money in your balance dangerous, and encourage the use of banknotes (an otherwise forgotten item).

    4) Buff Spawners - Here's one that you don't hear about much - but there are a few reasons:
    • Buffing spawners would create a higher incentive for factions to keep them down. This would increase the # of people who are looking for bases to raid - as the payout of them would be far greater. It also would increase faction activeness, as keeping spawners down means needing more wall checks, and the ability to fend off a raid.[​IMG]
    • Buffing spawners creates a more realistic /f top during the week, as more factions have their spawners down.
    • Basically it should just be enough where 10 Ville spawners should at least equal one guy with a harvest hoe who works 3 hours a day. This means pink (with 5.893B) should be the equivalent of 18 people working 24 hours a day with a hh.
    • While that sounds like a lot - it also means that pink can be raided any time throughout the week, not just on 6 days out of a month.

    5) World expansion - Expand the world borders - Bases are far too easy to find. It takes less than a half-hour to find top facs on border edges (not corners). And the worlds small enough that hidden bases off the world edge still get found within days.
    • Overworld: 10,000 x 10,000
    • Wasteland: 7,500 x 7,500
    • Nether: 5,000 x 5,000
    • End: 2,500 x 2,500

    6) Change /back - /back is a great command, however, it can be hard for staff to catch /backs that are used to raid - and /back is broken on a few fronts.
    • Stop /back from working in KOTH events. (like in outposts)
    • Stop /back from working in enemy/neutral claim
    • When /back fails (fac claim - outposts - KOTH) teleport them to the next available area - a safe area next to the fac claim, the warp points for outposts/koth.

    7) Allies - allies, not just ally.
    • Some kind of rules about ally limits, 1 top 80, 2 others or something.
    • Allies can only be formed during grace - like faction merging. (that's when the top rules apply)
    • Ally perms (like how the faction leader can change and enable permissions for the different ranks, allies should also be able to have different abilities able to be enabled)
    • Allies shouldn't disable /fly

    8) fac bank/managment/logs - Here are a few suggestions about some improvements that my faction has encountered to be issues. (And some style suggestions)
    • Members who place money in /f money d should be able to withdraw that within ten minutes or so. (I put in 2 mil, but then want to buy a hh for 1.2 mil and an officer or whatever isn't online)
    • Create a new command /f players or /f log players - check current cash, playtime hours, $ put in fac bank, $ taken from f bank, current power, player rank
    • Make titles display in faction chat, get rid of the [Fac Name], and allow colored titles EXAMPLE: (obv. the formatting isn't perfect - but you get the point right?)

    Factions needs some more events - expanded /ce would be great (might be too close to OP factions then) - I like the idea of buffing heads - i really didn't like having to hide spawners, so making them drop more would be better.
