I think they should allow an option to buy unbans. I’ve seen forums saying that is breaks rules but I don’t see how any major rules could be broken or it could affect the server considering almost ALL other servers have this option.

MCC used to sell unbans on its Buycraft store, but this was later removed. I don't see this making a comeback, simply because it would let certain players come back to MCC after causing trouble, and give them more (if not infinite) chances to do so.

I agree what with Zonafer said. If they allowed unbans back into the shop I think it would have to be for $25-$50 dollars, and I still don't see them making a return even at that price. Unbans would be to overpowered for hackers to cause trouble. This doesn't seem like a smart idea seeing that MCC's current anti-cheat isn't able to auto-ban hackers and things, so, Unbans, in my opinion, shouldn't be added back to the shop anytime soon!
    Have a great day!

    Hey there!
I don't think the problem is that hackers will be buying unbans to get straight back on the server. As they have other means to do so, i.e alts and VPNs. On most of the servers where you have the option to buy an unban, all of the bans that the server issues are permanent. The reason I think MCC shouldn't add unbans is because when players are banned they have the option to appeal. Even if they are lying it gives the player a chance to atone for their actions. I also think as that as perm and Ip bans are rarely given out on the players first ban there is no point in giving them to option to buy an unban as they will most likely go back onto the server and hack again.

I agree the unbans should be a bit price, maybe $20-50 depending if it’s your first unban or second. I know this works great for other servers. And if the player decides to go back to the server and make the same mistake then the server is just making money. There are plenty staff to solve this issue if the initiative is taken. I mainly think this is a good idea for players who have made mistakes and wish to change and enjoy the gameplay.

That's what appeals are for. If someone wanted to bot the server multiple times, they could do so with one account and just purchase unbans when they wanted.

Permanent and IP bans are only issued for the worst offences, and being able to just buy your way out of them would wreak havoc on the server.

In my opinion, when it comes to purchasing unbans, I would allow unbans for players that are temporarily banned - players that are permanently banned or blacklisted should not be able to make a return. Ideally I would only allow players to purchase 2 unbans, progressively getting more expensive than the last one to deter people from intentionally breaking gameplay rules/first offence client modifications.

However, I don't really think this is something that we'd really want added at the moment. Because as mentioned above, hackers usually are on alternate accounts/using VPNs meaning they will come back (until I catch them lol) and therefore I believe that the resources used to develop this will outweigh the potential profit. Until there is a reliable deterrent on the server to hacking (anti-cheat) I don't think it's exactly the right time.

I'm only speaking for myself however.

There is a VPN blocker on the server. You are able to use Proton VPN, but most of the IP's are pre banned.

I do think unbans should return to the store, but a little different from what they used to be. I think the price of the unbans should depend on why you're banned. If it's something minor maybe $15, and for something more serious like hacks, it should be around $30. I also think that there should be a limit on how many you can buy. Say you're buying your 2nd unban for client modifications, I think for the 2nd unban, it should be $60 instead of $30. I also think that if you are permanently banned, you get 1 unban for $60 dollars. You, of course, won't be able to use that unban if you already used your other 2. If you are IP-banned or blacklisted, you can't buy an unban of any sort. This is only my opinion, and feel free to respond to it.

    Hey there!
I don't believe unbans should be an option as said above, you can appeal already and many hackers wouldn't need to waste money just to get unbanned. They already use VPN's and change their IP. Overall, I don't see this needed or think it should come back.
    Best of luck!

    Hey,

I personally see this as a bad idea. Like elecctricc said, it would be bad if blacklisted players or perm banned players could buy their way back into the server. But, if someone is banned for 1-6 months or so I feel like that wouldn't be as bad. Like other players said before me, it was a option to buy a unban a while ago and it got taken out. Probably for a solid reason. With that being said, I dont see this returning to the shop. With all the hackers in the server, I dont feel like we need any to come back. Especially with no anticheat, or without knowing if we can trust them to not be hacking still if they buy the unban. So, i feel like it should stay out of the item shop. Overall, -1.
    Thanks,

There is currently no plans to bring back purchasing unbans. Reasoning is simple; People get banned for a reason, breaking rules. Buying unbans is essentially just immunity. Appealing would be useless.
As it has already been said multiple times, unbans used to be for sale. That perk then got removed.
I personally don't see this coming back either as it would also make banning people pointless. Appeals are there in replacement to provide a space to recognize where you've gone wrong and redeem yourself.
Of course people will have their own opinions but it's really not a logical thing. It'd just encourage people to break a rule, get banned, buy their way back into the server and break more rules. No one would learn their lesson.

I agree with the blacklisted players not being allowed to buy unbans. They clearly did something super wrong. But like if a player messed up and doesn’t want to waste the time and wait to be unbanned, or make an appeal in 6 months. Why not allow it. They clearly care enough to pay irl money. And possibly only add one in an to the store. So if you screw up again it’s over for them.

Selling unbans breaks Minecraft EULA, that's the rule you're talking about. This is as it gives an unfair advantage to other players.

Fortunately, almost no server owner cares about the Minecraft EULA and Mojang doesn't take legal action anyways. MC-Central already breaks this EULA as far as I know but shhhhhhhhhhh.

Technically MCC can sell unbans and I +1 the suggestion since why would anyone waste money to get banned again?
Of course unbans shouldn't be cheap though and there should be a restriction on how many a person can purchase.

to think you have the audacity to say people who hack on the server should buy their way out of these situations really makes me wet

    Hey there!
This is not a good idea for many reasons already stated above, I'll say a few.
    1) When you go to prison, you can't buy your way out of it if it is a life sentence in a normal jail system which isn't corrupted.
    2) It would make jobs of staff more pointless. They take a lot of there personal time for no reason (after someone buys an unban.)
    3) It would make it even more unfair for the poorer people.
    4) They need to find a better solution combating rule-breakers before giving this out.
    5) It's just a bad thing to do in my opinion.
Hope everyone has a great day!

I see what your saying, but at the same time, MCC isn't trying to simulate real life, so your first point isn't a good point. I do agree with everything else though.

Buying unbans is scummy, MCC is already pay2win enough as it is...
