I think there should be the option to buy fly

A lot of people buy emerald+ for the /fly perk. If this was added then no one would pay for the rank when they could pay a fraction of the price for only the /fly, so I can't really see this being added.

 

It's not a bad idea, but like Ankh said, a lot of people buy ranked for that privilege alone. However, if the /fly was a little cheaper than emerald rank, I bet a lot of people would go for it.

 

I really don't see them doing this since it would decrease the amount of money people would spend and like Ankh said people wouldn't but the rank. The fly command is there as a perk for donating to the server, its not the sole purpose to just let you have it I believe.

 

I'm currently a rookie, and the only rank that really interests me is Emerald rank, just so I could fly (like Ankh said). As a business, the owners have to give the players incentives to spend money in order to keep the server afloat, which is understandable. With no incentives, nobody would spend money on ranks, and that is just not good for the server.

 

hey amoelia n00b! i’ve played on servers where there’s option to buy fly perk, then buy a rank separately; like, you could have the highest rank and not have fly perk unless you payed for it separately. what i don’t like about this idea for mcc is that a fly perk is already included with other ranks, making this become its own perk 5+ years after it’s release could mess up the system just a tad bit. also, this perk could make it easier for fly hacking to become more common since theoretically a rookie could fly. <<and even if there was a prefix to indicate a rookie had the fly perk, that still wouldn’t help since prefixes don’t show in gamer tags. Also, something else that’s flawed in this idea is that many users already have emerald rank or higher so for them it wouldn’t really matter all that much. this can also lead to more people not buying emerald rank (35usd) and just buying fly perk (tbd usd) which can make mcc lose money n’ such. also also also it could really only be used in 4 subservers, and maybe lobby. soo....
overall, i don’t see this idea being implemented ever in the future for reasons listed above. and also poopoo

I do understand your point of view that the fly command should be available to everyone. However, it would be quite unfair to the people who bought ranks. Also, the server needs money to fund things such as hosting and payouts. Therefore, if they add this the server would lose money, which is why I do not see this being added.

 

While I completely understand your point of view, it would just break the whole point of buying the Emerald rank. Why buy only fly when you can buy Emerald, get lots of cool perks, and also get fly? In addition, it would be cheaper, which will lead to less money to fund the server.

Although this is a solid idea, this definitely would never be implanted mainly from what Ankh said, people buy Emerald+ just for fly (for honestly other reasons, but mainly for the fly feature) if buying just fly was a thing, then Rank Emerald would almost be completely not worth the buy (at least in my opinion.) I think the fly feature is what makes the Emerald Rank the Emerald Rank & the purpose it serves on most of the Sub-Servers where /fly is a thing. Not bad of an idea, it's just its a perk that comes with Emerald Rank for a reason. Have a good day/night!

Simply put, it wouldn't be practical to sell a command because how can one distinguish who is able to fly and who isn't? With a rank.

Alex isn't a big fan of making features that are at one rank available to more.
The server needs the revenue from rank purchases to stay alive.
Like many others have mentioned, nobody would buy those ranks if ./fly was sold "Ala Carte"

Although that is an interesting idea, that would miss the entire point of buying the Emerald/and above ranks. You get /fly when you purchase them, and to put /fly in the store would miss the entire point of ranks.

I understand how some may be frustrated by a payed perk as good as /fly, but as mentioned above countless times, no one would want to buy the rank if they can just buy it in-game. To add on, it truly is just a way of saying thank you to those that support the server. Although some would still buy the rank to maybe support the server, I'd say a good portion of this server's revenue comes from the ranks, and as a Skyblock player, I know many people buy Emerald just for that perk. Hope this cleared up why this will most likely not happen!

 

Assuming you're meaning /Fly in one of the game-modes such as prison, skyblock, etc. that is only obtainable by purchasing the Emerald rank. I do not believe they would add the ability to purchase /Fly solely for one of the game-modes, as it kind of lowers the value of the Emerald rank significantly.

With that being said, if you are wanting access to /Fly in the main lobby, you can simply purchase the Coal rank and you will have access to fly in the main lobby.

 

Not a bad idea. But then it means People might stop buying ranks.

In my opinion this is something that seems very pointless as there is a lot of current issues with the server and a lot of improvements are in store for the future so they currently have a lot of there plate and this just seems very pointless and a waste of time! I get where you're coming from but currently with the issues etc with this server this will never get implemented.

I disagree with this, there would be no point in buying emerald rank if there was an option to buy fly.

 

Emerald rank is the rank that everyone looks at when thinking about purchasing a rank, for the main reason of /fly. Many rookies could hack and fly around spawn and ‘blend’ in with all the other players flying and not many people would suspect a thing.
I don’t see a need for /fly to be separately purchasable to be honest.
