Skyblock Payouts

the only problem with this is that the seasons are much longer than factions seasons. but its a good idea. Also factions is overall just more competitive, so adding another competitive game mode might be challenging for users to focus their time on factions and skyblock. Its a great idea!

Skyblock doesn't have payouts because it is not supposed to be a competitive subserver, plus Skyblock has 6 month long seasons so the owners would have to spend a lot more money on prizes. I also believe that players on other subservers would complain that they aren't getting any payouts, and the server simply wouldn't be able to affford that.

SkyBlock is normally supposed to be a chill server, with no competition. However, I have seen a lot of players be on for hours and tend to be more competitive than most SkyBlock servers. I believe adding a top payout for the end of the season would be an interesting idea! Though the payout should not be a lot of money due to the fact, that the server may suffer from it, but I would like to see this added for a season and see how it works out.

Skyblock is a peaceful server - there is competition, but it's not direct and in your face, such as pvp, for example. While adding payouts would be an interesting idea, I don't think it would be a great one. You don't win skyblock with true skill, like you would factions. Payouts are on factions because it takes a lot of skill and work to get there (or so I've heard). With skyblock, however, you can easily win above all others with keys - last season people were saying they had 300 myth keys. I didn't believe them, until multiple players suddenly had 500+ skeleton spawners at the end of the first month of the season. If payouts were added, the players would just use their spawners to conduct "irl deals," to get more keys for the season, then use the payout money to buy even more keys, or just keep it for themselves. Rinse and repeat each season.

 

This is one of the best responses I've seen to adding skyblock payouts, and I completely agree. Furthermore, the owners have said that payouts won't happen because skyblock isn't meant to be a competitive subserver (or competitive enough to add payouts).

 

Factions and skyblock are identical servers,same style of eco, just different season lengths, payouts and with the core difference of raiding.
Both subservers use keys to get ahead, and most people just irl deal their keys back to reopen them next map, 300 keys for a sb season is common.
For the ones that don't understand it, keys dont win you the map. Hard work does. Keys are just a nice tool to give u a head start, which could be easily lost if you dont use your time farming in a matter of days, or even hours in some cases.
As for payout, I disagree, but they could add a hall of fame of past seasons and which island won, for the bragging rights ofc.

 

What if just add another SB server where it is a competitive SB, i think the current SB should just be chill and relaxing and no competitive on it, probably making a new sb server is a good idea when it is for a competitive skyblock Like top 5 players will get payouts from it, its okay if its not a huge payout since the server will probably suffer from it. I think a competitive sb would be great with no p2w like keys and stuff like that.
