anyone play an instrument?

Hi!!
I play piano!! I’ve studied it for about 12 years or so. In high school, I played trumpet then switched over to percussion which I mained- I usually just played mallets. I can play guitar- sort of, as well. I’m kinda into all sorts of music. Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of classical music like Beethoven or Liszt; however, I also listen to alternative stuff.

 

I used to play the clarinet when I was younger. Now, all I play is minecraft, and I occasionally go outside.

Favorite artists (in no order): the weeknd, kanye west, j cole, mac miller, travis scott, uzi, roddy ricch, drake

 

I self-taught playing the guitar! I took about a term of guitar lessons but I had a bad teacher so I ended up quitting and learning things through youtube and other online websites to improve my guitar skills!

 

I personally used to play the violin, flute, and guitar. For some obvious reasons, I stopped playing them because I easily lost interest in playing.
If there was something new that I'd love to learn, it'd probably have to be a cello or bass. I think that both of these instruments are something that may contain some interest in myself which was something I really wanted to pursue whilst I was in orchestra, but things happened as they did.

I'm into Hip-Hop/Rap with Artists such as Juice, X, Lil Uzi, Lil Tecca, and Ariana. I'm not into anything that's classical or country. :shrug:

I played both the piano and guitar. I was self-taught when it came to the piano and guitar, but I also took lesson in order to get better at both of them. I mainly used to play classical on piano, but I would play pop songs as well. As for the guitar I would play country music and hip-hop, rap, and pop. However, I do not play as much anymore.

I've wanted to learn guitar and piano for quite a while, as they're very versatile instruments and work their way into all sorts of genres. However, I haven't had the time or money to get one, sit down and start practicing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't really have a favourite genre; as long as the music is good, I enjoy it. My current favourite artists are Jeremy Zucker, Lauv, Ariana Grande and Troye Sivan.

Seeing this post reminded me of a funny story from when I played an instrument. I’ve never been a musically talented person, but in fourth grade I was required to play one. I chose clarinet, and quit 3 weeks later by giving a post-it note signed by my dad to my band teacher, and then running away.

I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but I don’t have the patience nor skills to do so.

I’m into a type of slower pop music (I’m not sure how to word it), and I’m not a huge fan of rap music. Eminem and Logic are the only rappers I really listen to. I like EDM music a lot, especially by Martin Garrix.

My all time favorite songs (in no particular order): Out of My League (Fitz and the Tantrums), Blu and Ungrateful Eyes (Jon Bellion), Uma Thurman (Fall Out Boy), She Will Be Loved (Maroon 5), American Money (BØRNS), and Fortress (ILLENIUM and Joni Fatora). My #1 favorite artist is Jon Bellion and my favorite band is either Maroon 5 or Fall Out Boy.
