Hello, Hows everyone doing? Mcc has been a lot more active lately due to people being indoors what is everyone(s) opinions on this pandemic so far? And what do you guys think will happen in the near future?
It’s the most annoying thing. All my exams have been cancelled as has my last year at school. Which really sucks. Being stuck inside sucks. And for the near future I think it’s impossible to predict. I just hope people listen when they are told to stay inside
It’s pretty scary stuff!! All nightclubs, casinos, gyms, indoor sporting venues and entertainment places such as bowling and cinemas have been closed permanently until further notice in Australia. funny enough the schools are still open in open though it’s crazy times
I think that overall we have a good handle on the situation. Yes, we don't have a vaccine yet. But the collective governments around the world all working together, united against a common enemy is something that doesn't happen very often. People need to remember to stay positive in these hard times as it will get worse before it gets better. In my opinion, follow the news, wash your hands between classes at school, after playing on your computer go wash your hands and remember to minimize physical/close contact between your friends and family! Stay woke people!
Wowo! In New Zealand we're about to shut school down I'm pretty sure. Each class so far I've gotten a "package" full of things I can use to work from home lol.
Hi! This is a very interesting topic you have brought up! I believe this will change everything: single mothers can be able to work from home even if their kid(s) are with them; the nation will probably go back into an Isolation period (look at the USA government actions from 1915s-1950s); and there would be a way to feed children who don't have lunch money. If it's happening in a state of pandemic, it can happen in a state of calm. But again, that is my thought process- don't have to agree; I'm a history major so I hope that explains my thought-process as well. :D Also would like to mention that this is from the perspective of an American; I'm curious on how it is in other countries! It is a bit annoying that everything is cancelled, graduation, classes, exams- I sympathize with people who are dealing with those issues. This is leading kids (elementary-college) to maybe go back to terrible homes. It's tragic. However, self-quarantining and social distancing is required. It's supposed to be breaking the chain and hopefully letting the virus "die" out. If people are in situations where they are unable to self-quarantine, at least make sure to wash your hands, cover your mouth/nose when you cough/sneeze, and carry handsanitizer with you! If someone would like to talk more about this, msg me on discord :D (fableking#1528) Remember to wash your hands, be mindful of others, and try to stay positive in this really panicky time :D Fable.
Yes, this is changing many things and I was curious of what you all think. Yeah schools shut down all over! its pretty crazy
Over in NZ, our prime minister just closed all schools in NZ ! Looks like i'll be working from home now!
Despite the seriousness of the pandemic, it's nice to see MCC/Minecraft getting a bit of a revamp in popularity. Makes me think of the good old days when MCC hit 7,000 players at once.
It isn't very serious for people under 50, unless you have an immune deficiency or pre-existing condition. That said, we should definitely follow the instructions issued by authorities to protect the vulnerable in our homes. A good comparison is the anti-vaxx movement; you're intentionally running the risk of exposing a vulnerable person to a dangerous pathogen by not following the recommendations of medical professionals and scientists. Ignoring isolation orders and such is very similar, and I believe should be socially unacceptable in the same way. 2020 will generally be a year for the history books. SARS-CoV-2 has caused many worldwide events to be cancelled, and along with other situations (political instability, anyone?) and threats, this will certainly be a case study for generations to come. Stay safe :)
Yes, Sars was quite deadly but luckily for us, it didn't spread as easily as Covid-19, we're quite lucky that Ebola was the same as well. The only reason ebola didn't spread like Covid-19 was because of how fast it killed it's host, had it not been as fatal, millions of lives would've been in jeopardy.
Edexcel IGCSE Exams, A Level Exams and GCSE's were just cancelled, hence it's very damaging to the economy growing up as many people won't be able to get the universities they want anymore, etc. I'm quite annoyed about that. Apart from this, it's all been quite stagnant, staying at home etc.
Ebola symptoms were also very extreme and hard to miss, and often advanced rapidly. While it did have a high mortality rate in earlier cases (90%), contracting the disease made it very hard to travel anywhere. As a result, the virus was confined to certain African countries, and any cases that did make it to other countries were promptly dealt with.
My thoughts on this whole pandemic is its gonna get a whole lot worse if people don't start seriously listen to the government when they tell people to self isolate and practice social distancing, I have seen countless videos online of people downplaying the effects of this virus and simply said, not giving a crap about whether they contract the virus or not. In my opinion this is a very dangerous mindset when governments and health workers are working endlessly to try and control the virus, meanwhile people are being stupid and only thinking about themselves. Hopefully people realize how serious this is and start to think straight.
