Hello! Just a random thought here. Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a /afk feature? Especially for servers like prison where players are afk for long periods of time. Basically, you type /afk, and then, when someone messages you, they receive a little message that says "This player is currently AFK". So that way, people don't think you're ignoring them. And then, when your player moves, the /afk status automatically goes away. Let me know what you think :) - german900
Howdy! I've made this suggestion before, and the responses I got from it made me realize that it's true, this command wouldn't really do a lot. If a player is afk for a long period of time, and someone messages them, quite often when they don't respond people know they are afk. Generally, when you message someone in-game and they ignore you, you can naturally assume they are afk, therefore this command would do much. I do see this command personally as useful, for the purpose of friend requests, teleportation requests and such, but as I mentioned, if you do not receive a reply they must be afk, so you just have to wait for them to return. Have a nice day, Nikki <3
Heyo!, Sounds like a good idea to me, sometimes I go to get water or something in game or while spectating so having a option to afk so you don't get kicked would definitely be a very good option. I hope your suggestion makes it in to the big dawgs, because I would find it very useful. Some advice would be to maybe try to DM the staff and getting some action on it. Anyways overall great idea!, Have a great day/night, Your Grandma
Huh, yeah I suppose that is true. But yeah either way just an interesting thought I suppose. Thanks for the reply :)
I tend to agree with Nikki, i think the /afk command would be kinda redundant but it would also add an accountability that i don’t want when I’m say mining for example and don’t feel like chatting atm :P
In my personal belief I think this would a great idea to add because a lot of times im afk in hub and people msg me and when I don't respond some get mad at me because they think im ignoring them. Another good idea would be if ur muted and someone messages you a command like /muted exists I think hypixel has it so when ur muted it responds to the person who message you and tells them ur muted so people also dont think ur ignoring them.
Really not necessary. People can tell if you're AFK very easily, and them getting upset at you for it is their own fault. One big thing I thought of, what happens if your mouse moves? A pet may move it unintentionally, another person in the house, or maybe some other movement. You're still AFK, it doesn't show up and people get upset with you for not using /afk. Overall, not a useful idea. MCC has better things to work on. -1
Hey german900! This is a very interesting idea and I think could be beneficial but the concept would take quite some time to do (to take out all the glitches and possible cheats/shortcuts it could create) and it is not really to big of a deal. This also leaves more room for cheating like afk farming and fishing (fishing might not be cheating). This was a good thought but if your friends think you are ignoring them, they can look on their friends list and see you are in the lobby which generally means that you are afk. This was a good suggestion though. - Cxltic_Warrior
Hey Bob50! I agree with what you said mostly, but they shouldn't get mad if they just check their friend list's. On the other hand I think that the muted command would actually be a very good idea to work off of. This could help out a lot of people especially if it says playing this game and they don't respond, it can get confusing. I am actually in support of that idea if it comes around to consideration. - Cxltic_Warrior
Hey :) The fact is that having an /afk command won't really help because it's quite easy to know... There's plenty of things to see if the person you're trying to contact is in fact afk, if you're try to message them multiple times and they don't respond you'd automatically assume they're afk. Have a nice day.
