I don't think deaths in the plot world should count against your KDR. The main reason for this is, dying in the plot world has nothing to do with PVP, and whether or not you die accidentally or to some kind of tp trap no one is gaining those deaths as kills. I view KDR as more of a PVP metric. This might be an unpopular opinion, but let me know what you think! :D
I agree, KDR most of the time refers to how many people youve killed/ how many people have killed you
I agree with you. With plot deaths contributing towards stats, it messes up kdrs when it probably should not, especially if you have a high kill count and a low death count.
I agree. If you fall in lava, drown, fall to death, suffocate, etc people won't look at your KDR and just assume that you're bad at PvP, possibly affecting your chance of getting into a gang.
Agreed, especially for those without Emerald+. Non-rankers and people below Emerald don't have the ability to get out of sticky situations with fly, and often die in plots easily, making their KD lower and lower. Especially since building on plots is a huge part of the Prison world, as well as scamming (Death Traps), limiting KD to the PVP world seems a very logical choice in my opinion.
Hey, OstrichMann I totally agreeing with you that plot death should not be counted towards your kill death rate. The reason for this is because it a kill and death should only be counted in the PVP arena, not yours or someone else's plot. So as natural deaths as veleds mention because things happen. For instance, if you are lapis rank or below you can not prevent fall damage from happening like you can if you are emerald rank or below where you can actually fly. The players who can not fly can take damage from falling which can ruin their kill death rate which is not good. As well as death trap scamming as mxbel mentioned. The deaths and kills should only be counted in PVP to effect your kill death rate. Overall it is a +1 for me for the kill death rate should only be counted in PVP. Have a good day or night.
