I came up with this when seeing a similar thread about giving ranks benefits to the pick, however I believe it shouldn’t just be something immortal ranks or any rank get for free. A good way I believe you could do this is by letting ranks get higher enchantments on the pick if they work for it, as an example one of the enchants is Fortune and you can only get that to level 10, I think it would be great if they let Emerald Ranks get it to level 12 and maybe immortals go to level 15, this would encourage ranks to mine more as they can get something better than most players. Obviously these ranks don’t need to be the ones you get these buffs at, as well as the levels , hope you have a nice day!
I disagree with your idea. I see the unbreakable pickaxe as a way to make mining fair for all ranks since you aren't restricted to a weak pickaxe such as the previous Efficiency 10 Unbreaking 10; instead, all ranks have an equal chance to earn their way to the cap level, and if certain donator ranks can exceed this cap level, then it wouldn't be achieving the purpose of making it fair for everyone. The benefit to having a rank in this case as I see it is that you will still be making more profit by leveling up your pickaxe than lower ranks due to a sell multiplier, and if you don't want to spend hours upon hours leveling up your pickaxe, you always have the option to use your kit pickaxes that break but give you an advantage to some degree. In your example, you suggest increasing fortune cap (and I assume all other caps), but this seems a bit broken in my eyes since, although you are grinding for a god tier pickaxe and spend a lot of time on it, inventories will get filled too quickly even at fortune 12. An immortal pickaxe already gets you an inventory filled in less than 20 seconds, so there isn't a need to increase the fortune cap. In my eyes I see the unbreakable pickaxe as something precisely that any rank should get free because it gives everyone a chance to get a good pickaxe as compared to the p2w immortal pickaxe setup that was instated previously. I don't see a point in changing the maximum caps, but this is just my opinion.
I agree with MasterChheda on this one. I think that players tend to overlook to sell multipliers donators get, with legend and immortal ranked players receiving 2.5x more money. The upgradable pickaxes are a way balance mining and I think giving donators ANY special privileges related to upgradable pickaxes would be too pay to win.
MasterChheda about the profit thing we do not get very much profit only in boosters because the sell shops right now are better then our multiplier unless a booster is activated. Even at that point I am pretty sure I saw a ore shop that buys for the same price as someone mining with a 4.5x boost. However I still disagree with this idea because I think this pickaxe should be fair for every user on the server.
I just don’t believe it is right for when you max it out, every user gets an infinite Immortal Pick, it makes kits useless once you get Fortune X and I wouldn’t expect it to be easy getting this level of things, already 2 people as I know have got Fortune X and there are a lot more close, and that is on Realm 2.
