Currently trying to get better at pvp as the settings I've been using for the past while haven't been working for me... So currently trying something new, and thought I might as well ask to see what the pvp pros out there use.

    Mouse Setup:
    DPI
    - 2000
    Report Rate - 1000
    upload_2019-7-29_20-14-0.png

    Game Setup:
    FOV
    - 85
    Sensitivity - 111%

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    P. S. Also trying to learn to w-tap but at the moment just looks like I'm having a seizure :joy:

I'm not good at PVP, but I've been working on my settings for quite a while. For w tapping, I turned off dynamic FOV and it helped a lot.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to try that as well.

Tf you mean by DPI off... DPI means "Dots Per Inch", or how many dots (pixels) your pointer moves for every inch you move your mouse. If you had this set to 0 then your cursor wouldn't move at all.

I use 600 DPI and Quake Pro FOV with 84% sensitivity with windows mouse settings being 1 tick below half. I’ve been able to be a wrist player using these settings, but I’m wondering with 2000 DPI and 111% are you able to control your mouse lol? I recommend turning it down.

I'm not home and can't give you all of my good settings right now, but I can tell you that what other people use may not be what you need.

Settings are simply just what you find comfortable. The best way to find the best settings is to just play around with your settings and adjust them to your likings, it's different for everyone. However, my discord is eyan.#5603 friend me on there and I'll message you when I get home tomorrow and let you know all of my settings :) Have a good night.

I found that having a low sensitivity and higher DPI helps my aim. But it really just is personal preference to be honest.

    I have 90 FOV.

The only disadvantage of having Quake Pro FOV (for me) is that everyone looks like they hack :joy:

Yeah, I must admit it was pretty difficult to control. Always thought that higher sensitivity was better for some reason :joy: I've been at 1500 DPI and sensitivity 95 and I seem to be doing much better.

Same, switched down to 90 FOV cause quake pro was getting old :joy: seems to be a lot easier to aim now, guessing my lack of accuracy was caused by the wide angle of quake pro.

Also I know that it's based on personal preference, but was just hoping to hear everyone's settings so I could have a sort of "middle ground" to start from, cause I'm pretty sure my settings are utter garbage lol.

I’m not the best pvp’er and as i have a giant mousepad i play with low sensitivities:
    In-Game sensitivity: 28%
    In-Game FOV: 73
    Mouse DPI: 2000
    Rep. Rate: Unsure
I also use labymod with togglesprint which helps me when pvping with potions or gapples (example). My labymod settings are:
    - Togglesprint
    - ItemPhysics
    - Optifine
    - Potion effects
    - Damage Indicator
Those settings are OK for me but as i said i’m not a high level pvper.

    My controls are:
    DPI: 800
    FOV: 100
    In-Game sensitivity: 100

Don't use togglesprint myself, can't get used to it haha but everyone should do what they prefer.

Would say I can pvp pretty well not the best

My advice is to up your FOV, that helped me improve a lot. I'm crazy and use 110 FOV :joy:

110 FOV?!?!?!?!?!?!? That's insane. It sounds crazy enough that I might try it xD

  16. Hey!

When I PvP, I always have my mouse sensitivity quite low. This is to prevent frames from breaking up which may make your screen blurry, depending on the quality. I do not usually care much about DPIs but rather about which mice I use. I always use a good mice which has soft buttons because they are easier to click, hence, higher CPS.

With W-Tapping, I honestly think that the secret is to know when to W-Tap. For example, W-tapping always works well for me when I am chasing a person and they turn around. Since they are turning around, their aim is not stable which makes them very vulnerable. The biggest mistake is when people try to W-Tap all the time as it probably will not work. W-Tap honestly comes naturally with experience. I suggest you try to S-Tap as I have always found that to be much easier. You could also try a trick called circle-strafing where you hold W and tap with either the A or the D key to move around you opponent!
