    Hello there my fellow gamers,
Are you fed up of the endless amount of hackers? The amount of keyboard and mouse bills you have to pay from raging? Well, I feel your pain. It is time for a CHANGE.

I am sure I am not the only one saying this but, this server NEEDS anti-cheat. I understand everyone is gonna be like ‘oh don’t bother, they will never add this’... Well they won’t if we don’t stop complaining. We need to put this to an end. I get that you can always call for a mod or report it, but it is a waste of both; your and my time!

I would like to suggest that this server adds anti-cheat, or at least add something that can detect obvious hacks like flying. It is stupid and sometimes there is no one there to help. Please take this suggestion forward and thank you for your time reading this.

    All yours,
    Master ThoughtlessFool

    Hello!

Now having good anti cheat obviously +1 like who would be a -1?

Though I think you have misunderstood the whole anti cheat problem. It isn’t that the server is going “Nahh we don’t want an anti cheat.” I am pretty sure (I cant confirm) that they are always working on it.

It is not a “Oh don’t bother they won’t” topic it is a “It seems like the server are trying so why bother making threads” topic.

Anyway yeah let’s hope anti cheat fixes soon then players and staff will be Happy :D

    Have a Nice Day
    All The Best

hey bruvs. like. okie dokie.s so what sean said is p on point. a better antichear is needed since it got whacked out back in july w/ some update or whaetevr; howeebver, there has been small inches of improvement since then. i think a big issue about anticheat and hcakers is that there's so many clients being created to bybpass the antichear which makes it hard to fully develop one. as well as, the demand for other subservers to reset n' such. now with prison finally restting that might give the uppers ups a lil more time, but also the shortened faction seasons/maps is also something so.
i honestly, cannot know or confirm if the anticheat is always being worked on, but i can assure you markey isnt always sittting on his *** with queen mikayla or whawtever something on mcc is always being worked on at a time, whether it be by markey, vislo, or QA team.

overall, i do agree improvement on the anticheat is something that is obviously needed, but brining an obvious subject into a forums post or whatever wont suddenly speed it up.

    kk. thanks B.
have a great day and hope this mentions your points.

Hello, as mentioned above, due to reset of the subservers, this took a long time of the owners. Therefore, delayed the added of the new anticheat. Every day hackers are banned, and some back and play on alt acc, even after be punished for ban evasion. This happen because they are able to bypass the server's vpn scanner. That's why anticheat is taking too long to be added, they are working very hard to make the new anticheat (antibypass). Therefore, the problem isn´t what they aren´t working on, because they are actually working hard. The problem is they are developing something very complex and when added, the gameplay will be improved for all players. In the meantime, i suggest if you found a hacker, record and report here on forum. Thank you.

Minecraft Central can always make an Anti-Cheat. But there are issues in making an Anti-Cheat. First of all the only people that would be making the Anti-Cheat would be Alex and Jeremy (Alex_Markey & Vislo). The other problem with this is that you need an anticheat to UPDATE. There are hacked clients that release weekly to bypass the AntiCheats Servers have up. So Alex and Vislo would have to update it almost weekly to stop hackers. This would stop them from working on the server and it's resets.

Now I love the thought of an AntiCheat. But I do not see it happening as we have not had one ever. The amount of hackers are especially bad recently. But the staff try their hardest to fit our needs to get and ban the hackers. We have complained and made threads for years about an anticheat. But it will never happen because there NEEDS to be a consistency to updating it.

You can always say that we can hire Developers. And we have actually done this once before. We hired a Developer and he did his work but it didn't last long. The issue with Hiring a Developer is that you are leaving your server up to someone you don't know and has access to everything with the server. They can type one command and shut down the whole server, and we all don't want that.

An AntiCheat will not come into effect anytime soon. We need to stay patient with what is in front of us and do what we could to get rid of hackers. The staff are on our side, and so is the rest of us as a community. We all need to do our part with reporting hackers, if not then you shouldn't complain.

This is my opinion on this matter. Let me know your thoughts. There has not been a difference for years and I do not see any changes anytime soon.

Hey, ThoughtlessFool I totally agree with you for these reasons. The Mccentral server really needs an anti-cheat system because there are a ton of hackers on Mccentral especially minigames. Hackers in minigames are making the minigame unfair. The reason for this is when I just got my armor in sky wars and 5 seconds later a fly hacker killed me. Also, there were b hoppers, anti knockback, kill aura hackers as well on minigames. I think by having an anti-cheat system it will help to kick players who are hacking and it will let staff know when there is a hacker on the server. Overall it is a +1 for the anti-cheat system idea and have a good day or night.

    Honestly MCC's anti-cheat is actually not too bad considering a few factors such as;
Kicks blatant fly hackers every a period of time.
Depending on the users client the anti-cheat prevents their kill aura (like you legit become invincible)
In comparison to other servers, it is definitely up there.

Also MCC has a relatively good VPN detection therefore once bhoppers are IP banned they can't just use a basic VPN and bypass.

In my opinion, the problem is not so much the anti-cheat rather than lack of staff members available and the punishments put in place. Whenever I see a blatant cheater I befriend them and add them on discord. I've talked to several blatant hackers on this server and the majority of them have unlimited accounts so once they get banned, they legit just hop right back onto another account. I honestly think that there a very few hackers yet it's just the same people going on several accounts. I think to prevent this the rules of the server need to be updated; once a blatant cheater (bhopper/kill aura) is banned the moderator that banned them must check their IP to see if they have 2 or more accounts to IP ban. Or, I would just straight up IP ban blatant bhoppers to prevent them from re offending.

Agree to disagree but this is just my take.

They could always pay a developer to create and update an anticheat. They have the money considering the rest of the staff team is free.

+1 of course. An anti cheat would be very worth while and worth the money for the server. If they want to grow ever instead of having a steady 1500-2000 players, they must add an anticheat to keep players on the server and stop hackers from making people quit/ruining the server.
If an anti cheat is 'too hard' or too much effort to be added then I suggest a larger staff team and make it so staff have to spend more time than 200 minutes on minigames (I think that's the amount per month needed). This would ensure that there is a staff member in many of the games and hackers are dealt with very quickly. Good idea!

    I'll enlighten you.

There is a minigame revamp set to be launched this year. With this revamp, an anti-cheat that's been developed from a backbone will be implemented. It's been worked on for months and will hopefully solve the blatant hacks.
Everyone knows MCCentral needs an anti-cheat; even the administrative team is aware and agrees, but they cannot do anything. This decision lies mainly on Alex, and by now if a temporary decent anti-cheat hasn't been implemented, there is a high likelihood that a better one won't be added until the minigames revamp occurs and the fleshed-out anti-cheat is released.
I cannot confirm this, but I've heard from previous MCCentral Developers that they were tasked with developing an anti-cheat, but the team was disbanded and the anti-cheat, or what was built then in 2016, left with it. From assumptions, you can logically deduce that no developers will be hired in the future and only trusted members (owners, maybe QA?) will develop the anti-cheat. For this reason, Alex isn't hiring a build team. It's difficult to manage and he's had bad experiences with it.

The staff team cannot do much more than they already are at this point. With your suggestions of IPbanning instantly, the administrative team would have to discuss this and I can guarantee you this won't be added. Blatant hacks (scaffold, bunny hop, fly) was brought up as an idea of permanently banning for this rather than giving a hacker 3 attempts to hack on the server before a permanent ban, but this idea was also dismissed. Moderators (most of the time) do request Seniors to IPcheck blatant hackers. The main issue with the recurring accounts is VPNs since the server cannot block them all and hackers tend to evade IPbans easily through these. As I said before, the staff team is doing all they can at this point. Maybe IPbans could slow hackers down, but it wouldn't necessarily stop the recurring hackers from rejoining. This is where an anti-cheat is necessary.

Hopefully I could shed some light through what I know and my opinion on the topic.

Just to add on to @MasterChheda's post, The after a hacker botches their 3rd chance, their permanently banned. I believe that a hacker can get a 4th chance and after that, perm ban and IP ban.

If there were tournament staff for a minigame tournament, that will be 1.3x more effective.
