This is mostly directed at senior staff although I'm sure others can answer too. Mainly asking out of curiosity. Will you be looking back at the old website for server ideas, stickied threads, etc. and copying them over here or is this an entirely fresh start? There's a lot of useful info that you can use but I get that it'd be hard to filter through the rest of the posts. I've noticed that there's already some things that have been copied over but there's also a lot that's being discarded. (Didn't check if this is a duplicate thread, sorry if this has already been addressed^^) UPDATE: I can't seem to find a donations issues area? I'm guessing for the time being the tickets on the old site will be addressed then a new system will be made here?
Hey Maddy! I'm not sure about the stickied posts and such, but the old website will definitely be useful for Application Team Members. Some of the requirements are looked at from the old website, such as how many reports you've done. The stats will carry over for a month, so the old website is of some use for determining if people meet the requirements from the old website and have 20 new forum posts from here. As for the stickied posts, I assume the important ones that don't relate to Enjin will be making its way over here. When I joined the website, I noticed a couple of Guides and Informative threads by the Admins, so I believe anything of use from the old website will come here. I'm just not sure if it'll be remade or copied and pasted over. So far there aren't any Prison Guides or Informative Threads that were from the old site, so they'll either move em' over to keep people informed or new players will get stickies. For this part, I'm not 100% sure so you'll have to wait for an Administrative reply. I hope this helped in some way.
Only the absolutely necessary threads that MCC staff wanted to move over were transferred. As well as any guides or tutorials the staff/players made that they had made official. A few players have started transferring their guides. There was a statement from Alex stating that this is going to be a fresh start. I am sure the old forums will still be useful for someone like the Application Team.
Yeah this + what Chheda said is what I assumed. I did read the announcement from Alex but was surprised about how few threads were being transferred. Partly wondered if more threads were being transferred or if they were gonna be heavily edited and posted. In particular, there aren't a lot of FAQs yet nor are there subserver guides, so I wonder if old guides will be paraphrased by admins versus community members making them. Server Ideas also still have a purpose, so I'm curious if QA will still use the old ideas or if they'll all be scrapped.
I had just noticed Chheda and I replied at the same time just about, or I wouldn't have left the information I was attempting to give. I would like to see some fresh guides and FAQ's instead of the older ones.
The old site as of now has only the purpose of maybe looking at old posts, and recovering crucial pinned information such as requirements, and FAQs. Aside from that, really nothing else. Maybe also recovering your Enjin wall.
