Hello! While prison is not my main server I have found myself playing it a decent amount (more so as factions is currently dead until the reset), but have only really utilized profit shops / went mining in my time spent. As I know other things can (and have) been done on prison, I followed some chat advertisements to see some of the other things players do and noticed that the #1 thing aside from token / profit shops was casinos, but upon entering them I noticed that they were practically all just slot machines (before I get comments about this I'm aware that this is because within the game that is really all you can do), so I am wondering if the players of prison would have an interest in participating in holdem games? Holdem is the only casino game type that I really like and I have a good amount of experience with out of game systems so I feel that I could make it run pretty smoothly if people are up for it! Here is what I immediately thought of (I will probably change some or all aspects of this, also input your thoughts on the system below): Players will either A) withdraw their balance except for their buy-in price and then pay their bets to me, winner of the hand would receive all of that money. B) Pay their buy in price to me, from there I will keep track of it on notepad and then pay what amount they have when they decide to cash out. I will deal with a real deck to myself, pming each player their resulting cards. After betting rounds (which will all be done in plot chat of course), I will announce the flop in plot chat, with following cards having a similar announcement. What do you think? While there is nothing in it for me unless I hosted a tournament (and I would only do that if it was a reasonably successful venture + I had more dealers than myself), it is something that I can see being quite enjoyable and would be more than happy to set it up if it is wanted! I also thought of using an external actual system w/ a discord for it as well, but this would likely require more effort/attention than I would be willing to lend to this idea. Comment thoughts / changes on this idea, I would love to hear them!
Hey cutieumu, I like the idea of poker in Mcc however it does come with some issues. If players talk a lot in chat it will move the plot chat all over the place and may cause some players to not see the 'flop' Also I feel that the more dealers you have the higher the chance of scamming, as it's allowed on prison Thanks, Olli
Yeah, I doubt that it would ever go to tournament level due to me not wanting to commit to prison that much. To give players time to think about their action (assuming the fast chat situation does occur), I would likely remedy that by placing the cards that are put out on signs on the table, this (to me) seems to be better as it not only removes the chat flood issue but now also will not require scrolling up / requesting a restating of the cards for the players at the table to know what they are. Do you think that solves the issue?
Sorry I disagree if they do this mostly they are gonna do it to the whole network factions will be ruined and the eco won’t be fixed. have a wonderful week ~Jones
Uh jones u know this is not a server suggestion but me asking ppl if they would like for me to personally host this event (and it would only be on prison) right..? It would only be done by me (and I guess other ppl if they pick up on the idea) and I don't have any plans of carrying it over to facs, even if I did it still would not be official lol
