This needs to be addressed with the spawners taken out of the shop.

Everyday little dodo's go around breaking blaze spawners in the nether, for the sake of a little xp for themselves but screwing over everyone else.

The spawners need to be disabled from breaking, if not possible (which I am sure it is) make it bannable.

I disagree I think that they should still be able to be broken and you just need to find a fortress with one. Braking a blaze spawner is not bad and should defiantly not be punishable.

hello sir! i can understand your frustrations and where they come from. however, that’s just a normal aspect of a survival multiplayer, with or without mods or plugins.
as strafings said, i really don’t think that this should be punishable in any way, and/or disabling the ability to break spawners.
there are many other ways to get xp other than blaze spawners n’ such.

Many ways to get XP yes, not blaze rods needed for potions. There is ZERO reason for breaking one of these spawners, doing so is asinine and serves no other purpose than to screw other players. It's griefing in my opinion. Especially when someone breaks it while you are trying to grind it. If the server allows this practice, it's one giant black mark and I seriously question why I gave this server money.

it is not griefing in any way shape or form as it’s in a resource world not a plot. there are many many strongholds in the nether resource world if you search far enough, you’ll most likely find one.
this server does not allow griefing on survival; however, breaking a spawners in a resource world is not griefing.
as well as, there’s is reason for braking the spawners, so other players don’t get to use them. it’s not necessarily “greed” or anything, it’s just how survival is... you can also always buy blazerods from players who sell them :) kinda part of the reason why they break them...

    Hey!

I find this very frustrating not gonna lie. This is just a really greedy and scummy move to do.

I wouldn’t say it should be ban-able as the obstruction of server rule however I think it should be impossible meaning every time you try and break it it will say.

Spawners Cannot Be Broken! Please Place A Torch On Spawner To Disable It!

Because don’t forget that is something you can and should do if your about to die of rapid mobs but still want to keep spawner there. I know it isn’t that much of a “Survival Aspect” but it does help if your on a server with 100+ people on at a time.

I'd definitely have to agree with the OP here, it's annoying when you make a grinder and someone else finds it, or someone you trusted enough to share the coords with, just breaks it. And then they set a home, and come back to break it AGAIN after every daily restart. As he said, it gives pretty much no XP. You'd be better off just spending a minute grinding the spawner. People who break them just for that quick little bit of xp are just greedy. There is really no other reason for breaking them, therefore they shouldn't be breakable. It would also be very easy to achieve this.

I've tried the single torch, it hasn't worked.

Single torch raises the light value to 7 to disable most dark-spawning mobs. Blaze spawners however require light to be raised to twelve or higher - either four glowstone/jack o'lanterns (light value 15) on four sides of the spawner or a 7x7 grid of torches on the same y-axis surrounding it. (now you know why the platform for a blaze is usually a 7x7 platform with blocks and fence surrounding the outer edge, making a 5x5 platform to walk on).

    EDIT: 11/6/2019

Okay, this is just a zombie spawner in the wild. As you can see, its in the middle of a 5x5 grid of torches including one on top of the spawner. Zombies are still spawning.

I'll have to try pumpkins next.

Okay, I now have a zombie spawner that has Jack O'Lanterns on all six faces and it's still spawning zombies. I've even removed most of the mossy cobble. light is not disabling them, so either it's a glitch or it's not working in this pack.

Honestly, disabling the spawner is actually a smart thing to do @___Sean___, and here's how to do it without dying...

    1. Kill any blazes that are in the area
    2. Places torches on top and on the sides of the spawner before any blazes spawn
    3. Place torches 2-3 blocks apart from another torch 2 blocks away from the spawner

    Hope this helps

    Hey

It is not the light it has you can have the darkest cave with just torches on the spawners for it to not spawn so jack o lanterns etc won’t be that helpful at all.

Try placing them like hanging on to the spawner if that makes sense.

If not MC-Central may Have disabled being able to disable them or it doesn’t work on Hard mode or something.

    Hope that sorta makes sense.

Hello I understand how this is up setting but there’s nothing that can be done. I agree it’s scummy thing to do to people but there isn’t a punishment for it that’s how I think it’s going to be.

    Have a wonderful week

Jack O'Lanterns have a light value of 15, a torch is just 14. I have one hanging on each face of the spawner. If survival is in hard mode, that would explain a few things.

I mean it has Nothing To do with light. If the torch is clinging on to all 5 sides of the spawner then there is no extra light needed. It’s the torch itself that stops it, even if it is a red stone torch with minimum light will still disable as it is blocking the spawner. This is what happens in Vanilla Minecraft at least. I don’t know if MCC disabled it or if it doesn’t work on hard mode but yeah. All the torches on the floor are useless

I'll have to remove the Jack O'Lanterns later tonight (if someone doesn't beat me to it) and try the torches again. I'm used to one torch disabling a standard spawner, either on top or on one side, but I've gotten it to work before this season by surrounding the spawner with torches on the floor.

Jack o'lanterns on every side of the spawner, and torches on the spawner plus sitting on a jack o'lantern. still spawning.
