Shorter bans

I honestly disagree.

To get Ip-ban isn't that simple to be fair, also users that gets Ip-ban should get a 6 month waiting rather then 3 or 4 why?

If a user is banned for "Ban Evading" means "having two (or more) accounts banned on the server simultaneously under the same IP" honestly I don't want to see a guy that had kept on bringing alts to keep on breaking the rule over and gets Ip-banned and can appeal it in 3 or 4 month, you had like two chances from preventing this happening (getting Ip-banned).
Also if your using an ALT to play on a server "i don't know whats the point as you would lose the alt in few days and all your stats / progress would all be gone" and you should't be using alts "to ban evade since most of the alts are shared through system" means you won't keep the alt that you have forever that you bought from an alt shop (it would change to another user making them the owner of that alt for few days"
I recommend for all people to use their own MC account "to buy one" not using friends or alt account "sure MC java account is quite expensive"

In my personal opinion, the appeal wait time is already short enough. As the punishment name suggests, it's PERMANENT, so you're lucky to even be allowed to appeal it. The 6 months is meant to give you some time to reflect back on your actions, in hopes that you can return to the server as a legitimate player. Permanent Bans and IP-Bans are only issued in extreme cases, such as evading on 3+ alts or hacking 3+ times. So I feel like this 6 month waiting period is justified.

If they're hacking on an alt, then chances are they aren't going to appeal. Once the account is banned, they will just get on another one and repeat until they are bored.

It isn't a rule, per say. You are still allowed to share accounts, however it is strongly discouraged. It's more of a "do at your own risk" thing. If your account is banned from a friend hacking on it, you're not going to get unbanned just because you claim your friend was using it.

 

I Have to agree with Ankh. If a user does something that is ip bannable or permanent most likely they deserved it. Also with that said if a user(s) Shares an account with another user that is their fault especially if you use/share an account that was given to you from a player you don't know. If anything I feel that permanent/ip bans should not be appealed because the user more times than less does the same thing again but doesn't get caught. I known someone that was ip banned because his "Brothers were hacking" but it was really just the same player on his alts that he claimed were his brothers. Once he got unbanned he started scamming players on those alts. Just another reason why I think they shouldn't allow players with those types of bans to appeal.

I disagree, If one has got themselves banned 3 times for hacks or some other reason they are perm banned and perm is meant to be permanent not "Go sit in the corner and think about what you have done and appeal when you wait a few months or so before asking to come back." However I know everyone deserves another chance so this is why you can appeal.

Punishments can be appealed in less then 6 months if false HOWEVER sharing accounts is written in the FAQ as a very stupid idea.
