OKAY, so, i've been playing on Mc Central for awhile now, and I noticed the anticheat isn't really the best. The water glitch where if you're swimming, or even go down a bit and come back up, you'll get stuck in the spot where you started to rise. OR, when you're running through trees and click your space bar, you'll get stuck. That's just the basics. What i'm here to really complain about is how those little bugs will pick up cheat detection from NON-HACKERS, and how it wont pick up and actual hacker who has bhop, killaura, and headsnaps. I played at least 20 games last night, messing about with friends and there was at LEAST, 1 hacker in every game. Your anticheat does not pick up actual hackers but, legit players. I 100% know that this isn't the first complaint, but why not do anything about it?? Thanks, Ky.
My dude just be happy there’s is anything at all. I would rather the 4 in 10 hackers get kicked for kill aura than the 0 in 10 it used to be. I mean yeah we could get a new anti-cheat but how long until people learn to bypass it?
The anticheat on MCC has been one of it's biggest flaws ever since the server opened, and I agree that there's so many problems with it. All we can hope for is that there are better solutions being developed. I've found that the water glitch can be fixed by either being hit out of it, crouching, or blocking my sword. I agree that it is very inaccurate but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it and all we can hope for is that the devs/owners develop a better alternative in the future. However, like I said, since the server opened there's never been a really good anticheat so who knows what the future will hold. When you run into a hacker your best bet is to just record them and report them on the forums because it's already well known that the anticheat (unfortunately) cannot be relied on.
They won’t invest in a new one anytime soon. They tried that like a year ago and it was way to buggy.
Your best bet until an anti cheat has been added is to record most games. I know it’s a pain but it gets results
there is an anti cheat, it just sucks. im sure staff and devs are aware of that; however, changing the anticheat, updating, or switching it out for a completely new anticheat might not be compatible with other plugins n’ such. We all know that the MCCentral anticheat isn’t the best, but there are ways around that. For your swimming bug, all that you need to do is be on a version prior to 1.13 The Aquatic Update. The swimming in that update has made the anticheat think its flying. I’d simply suggest using version 1.8.9, since its the best available for pvp, and its the one the server runs on. As for the tree glitch, I’ve never seen that. If you want to get rid of hackers, report them. You dont need to always be recording, you can get an application such as “RetroClip” on the Mac that records the last two minutes of your computer.
They didnt invest they just made it themselves lol, also this current anticheat I'd rather have nothing tbh because sometimes it kicks non-hackers too when they get stuck in water or a block
theres kind of no point in recording-and-reporting hackers anymore tbh, because it takes them like 10 seconds to hop on a new account and if they do get ipbanned they can hop on a vpn that bypasses this server and I know a lot that do bypass it
it takes like 5 mins to upload the video and create a whole report ticket. plus the time it takes for staff to reply
Hey! By reading your thread I deduce that you’re having trouble with the MCCAC on minigames. (personal opinion) The anti-cheat on minigames isn’t the best thing in the world but not the worst, as it usually kicks off hackers from matches. I suggest trying it on subservers, as it works better on them. I agree with you, the anti-cheat needs to be improved but that’s not a priority. Have a nice day - ItsGuih // MCC Helper
