I loved boosters back in the days when cactus was the best type of farm. I think they should be re-added next season! What do you guys think?
Can definitely agree on bringing the boosters back. Not only a sell multiplier, but also like a mob loot drop chance and mob xp multiplier. Maybe could also add a spawner spawn rate, but that might be a little overpowered for top islands.
I think boosters coming back to skyblock would be a nice bonus, but im sure they were most likely removed for a reason. I think boosters on skyblock would make skyblock "too op", at least for the ones that used to there, especially the 2x multiplier. 2x multiplier can almost ruin the economy since people could just stack up on resources n' such when the booster comes they sell it all and end up making 100k+ depending on what they saved and how much of it was saved. the mob loot, i don't see being as large of an issue as the 2x since it's the equivalent if someone were to afk for longer hours. and same for the mob exp multiplier. I think that adding boosters back to Skyblock would be a nice addition for all players, however, the boosters would need to be less overpowered than they were before they were removed. Thanks Olli
Kinda confused as to how it would be a terrible idea. I mean it brings a lot of money back to the server, and it helps out everyone. I think if they nerfed a lot of stuff then it would be better. - - #BringBackOGSkyblock - - The last season that boosters were a thing was the first season I became the top island, and honestly, we wouldn't have made it if there were no boosters.
I would definitely love to see boosters added back to the game. Not even just for skyblock but other sub servers also. I bought boosters here and there to help out the server and I would definitely do it again. If they are brought back, I would like to see new ones introduced. I dont have any idea what they could add but i'm sure Alex or the community would have ideas for new boosters.
Boosters were great, I don't remember why they were removed but I definitely support them possibly returning. Tipping was also a fun way receive a big "thanks" for boosting the server so it'd be nice if those we re-introduced as well. I agree with people who say that the multiplier boosters need a bit of a nerf but the charity boosters were a nice touch especially for new players.
i think that’s what yerboy means when he says “terrible idea”. boosters help the economy grow, but it also inflated everything then the prices of things wouldn’t compare to prices that are in /shop. for example on prison, realm 1 gets boosters at least twice a week and their token sale price goes for about 19k-30k per token, and realm 2 gets boosters kind of rarely and their token sad price is around 4k-7k per token. — the boosters can make the economies on the two realms even more farther apart/inflate it a bit. the boosters could also turn skyblock more reliant on spawners again than farming n’ all... if that makes sense hope this helped *\(^o^)/*
Booster is the best thing MCC has had in a while. Legit the server makes money, the economy is great, it adds a whole business part in sb and makes it way more fun.
I'm not saying Boosters are bad, but I just dont think we need them. Skyblock seems to be doing exceptionaly without them, adding them might just make the gameplay easier. But who knows, maybe they could be a good thing if added.
I’m actually down to see boosters brought back. I don’t understand why they were ever removed tbh. The server was making good money from them and the community enjoyed them. While we’re at it let’s bring them back to Factions as well.
It's a good idea and I'd like to see the boosters brought back maybe next season. Right now everything is inflated as all hell and let's not bring the tokens up to 10k.
I agree with this statement. Skyblock as a whole is very well off in terms of economy. I don't think there would ever been a need to bring back boosters. Now that being said I don't think boosters wouldn't be a good thing to have.
For real! It felt like Boosters improved skyblocks economy by a lot when they were in the game. That being said, there had to be a reason that they were removed, which I don't think the community was really informed of. I noticed there was a mod in the thread, and was wondering if maybe they could help out regarding that? @Muel_
Boosters should not be brought back to the server. I'm sure many of you remember the days of having to wait for a booster to sell your items. The economy became centered around boosters and they were just too large a part of the game. Without boosters, players are able to play as they please without having to wait for boosters. They're too good to be a part of the game. I would like to hear @KierenBoal 's opinion on the matter as I am pretty sure he is the reason they're removed (thank you for that). Thanks
Yeah I totally agree with that sentiment. Usually the server pretty much always had boosters on, but the times that it didnt were not good for the server. I think they made the economy a lot more violatile which isn't really a good thing. If they do bring boosters back, which it doesn't sound like they will, they will have to change the way that they work.
Yes bring them back! During the beginning of prison season the boosters are insanely useful and make the 30 minute mining grinds worth it, we need skyblock to have something similar :D
I've shared my opinion on this matter before; boosters do indeed need to come back. (Not just for Skyblock, but for all subservers). The key thing to avoid is things like market booster, as they cause a lot of issues both in economic sense and game-play sense. My suggestion for having boosters is things that you can't AFK or abuse too easy. -Things like charity booster are bad because people clog up the slots with alts to abuse the free money. -Things like market booster are bad because it forces people to horde items and sell only during the booster. (Although it does create extra markets for people to explore, like sell-back profit shops) The more appropriate boosters would be: -Double/triple loot while manually farming -Double/Triple tokens when manually farming/mining -Quadruple mob loot when manually grinding. -etc. Basically boosters that can only be used by physically using an account. Thats my thoughts and opinions atleast.
This is a great suggestion Kieren, I would like to see boosters more common around the entirety of MCC. I also love the idea of having boosters that double or triple specific items when you have to manually farm them as that's what most sub-servers are about. Thanks, Olli
