Ban appeal accepted

Unfortunately, even if the player did get banned, you will most likely not get a refund back as it is not a very usual thing to happen considering that once you agree to make a deal such as the one you mentioned above, it is kind of 'your own responsibility', especially when not witnessed by a staff member.

Scamming is illegal in the real world. You can say this was pretty much a fraud, which i find ironic how the guy can just keep the 25$ giftcard and be banned for somewhat days.

Not only is this "crime" allowed, but nothing would be even done if the user is caught. A several-day ban from a minecraft server does not justify how real money was stolen.

I think gift card scammers should be permbanned.

Just because you agreed to pay 10,000$ for a car doesn't mean you can get scammed and be told. "Well, it was your responsibility to deal with it."

So unfortunately, we can't really give you back the giftcard at this time. I do agree it is a policy we should have looked at and perhaps updated, but that's just the way things work right now. I will make sure to bring this up with an admin at some point soon, so it can be reviewed! Sorry for the inconvenience :c
