This post is dedicated to the issue of Gameplay-Trolling on Prison. Prison is a sub-server that allows scamming which is in a way a gameplay troll. When you ask a player to TPA to you and you are in the wilderness, there is an unintended aspect to that scam in which you trick a player. Recently I was banned for telling a player that throwing a spawner in lava gives you money. While I did break the current rules and got a deserved ban, I believe that in the future that should be allowed. I can burn a rookie at my plot with a bucket of lava, but I can not tell a rookie to burn himself for free money. In conclusion, I believe that gameplay trolls that do NOT cause out of game consequences such as an ALT + F4 trick should be allowed on prisons and maybe even factions considering scamming is allowed.
Tbh it sounds like you're just salty you got banned like why would you even do that in the first place lmao
I was mad at first that i got banned yeah of course, but I just dont see why gameplay trolling shouldn’t be allowed on a prison server. I can tell someone “free spawners /p h jelly” and have a lava trap set up that instantly kills them. That’s a troll but by the standards of the server it’s actually a scam. What i just explained is a direct definition of a gameplay troll in the rule book, but it is perfectly allowed. But when I tell someone to burn their spawners, or when I tell them hey there is free money in warp pvp go there with spawners or something dumb like that I get banned. With scamming and TP trapping allowed there is no reason to have In game trolling be banable. I see where you’re coming from that there is no reason to do it, but it seems like the rule book is inconsistent in that area.
The rules have always been inconsistent, this is mccentral ffs. Was probably just an oversight on their end, can agree it makes no sense. Also no, a scam is when you make a deal for a trade with a player and you don't fulfill your end. The example you gave would be Death Trapping.
Well You can death trap for items so there is some overlap. Lava kills do not burn the items if you do it right so it is somewhat a scam but i see what you mean. But yeah inconsistent rules are a thing that will probably never be completely fixed, but im hoping this one can be!
