Hey there, I have been playing on Mc Central (Specifically Prisons) since season one and I have a suggested change for punishments. I believe punishments over a set period of time should be erased, meaning your previous punishments have no effect on your current punishments. This would mean that if I got muted in 2018 I shouldn't still get a 3 day mute in 2018. The same rule should apply for perm mutes after repeated offences. For us players who have been playing on the server for a while, mutes and punishments definitely add up, same goes for newer players. Erasing the punishments or taking out the perm mute system overall would be great idea to give players a second chance. Since the majority of the playerbase on Mccentral is younger children, erasing previous punishments from when we were all young ones would be great.

    Hey there!

I don't see this happening any time soon. The Admin Team recently decided that punishments (in this case mutes/warns) that are older than 2 years won't count towards the punishment for Excessive Chat Offenses. I can see what you mean by wanting to delete and reset the punishment system but what I said above was added to precisely avoid that.

I also don't see it happening because of people with IP bans and a lot of bans for hacking, I think they would just take advantage of the fact that it was reset. But this is just my opinion!

I think if the punishments are from 2017 and earlier they should be erased, maybe having them erased after 2 years automatically, but if you are blacklisted then it doesn’t. I think it should be removed from your record so it doesn’t make your profile look like you are a bad person just my opinion.

I can’t agree with you, since people who got banned for cheating (example) 2 years ago would have their cheating bans cleared, so they would be able to cheat 3 times before actually getting perm banned. That’s just my point tho

No. You are given plenty of chances before punishments become severe. There's no reason to wipe your record.

I think yeah, after a year or so minor punishments should be let off. Theres no point in keeping someones 30 minute mute against them when they do it again in 2 years.

I can't say the same for severe punishments, such as severity 2+ ones. Those are normally pretty bad and normally effect someone directly.

    Hey!
I don't think punishments should be cleared
However, I think after about 2 years older punishments shouldn't be used to increase mute times.

This is a bad idea, as mentioned above people would use that to bypass longer punishments, even tho they already had chances to stop

    Hey there!

I don't agree with the idea. I think that the punishment history is a great tool for determining what you were, and if you've changed. Sure, it might make a bad name out of yourself, but that only means that you've been given many chances, and not once have you took them seriously.

As this was already said, punishments which are 2 years old won't count towards the next chat offenses.

    Hi there
To be honest I think this is a very bad idea for alot of reasons
    1. Some people just type servers then hack on them and get banned and if they get unbanned they will hack again and imagine all the server hoppers getting unbanned there would be too much hackers
    2. You should read the rules first that's what all servers recommend so you get given a chance already.
    3. People choose to be punished if they break the rules
    4. The chat offenses in the last 2 years dont count towards the excessive chat offenses
    Thanks
Have a lovely day or night

OK i have done like 4 posts about this and i finally convinced admins to do this rule, any bans for over 1 year if it is a severity 1 ban will not count towards ure perm mute (40 severitiy points) they stay on the record but it means nothing,

As sadbaby said, we already compensate for excessive chat offenses. However, we will not be erasing any old history, if you are still getting muted to this point, it means you haven't learned your lesson and deserve a long mute.
