One of the best parts about MCC is the community. A way to give back to the community would be by giving them an outlet to grow using MCC. I know we have the Off-Topic section, but videos get lost in the constant flow of spam. Adding a place for us to post Youtube videos or Twitch streams could help both the creators and people who are bored.
There used to be a YouTube section on the Enjin forums, and I think it'd be nice to add that here, too. I know that not many players upload, but it's a great way to encourage those who do, and watch some MCC content for yourself. It would also bring the community together, and I think that the Community Events team could also post their videos in that subforum. Overall, I love the idea, and I hope it is looked into :)
Hey! I don't really see a purpose in this since there's there's a #media channel in the mcc community discord. The previous foums had a "youtuube" topic which was somewhat active-ish. It'd be a 'lil bonus if this is brought back into forums.. but for posting youtuve vids n' such i'd most likely post in the discord server 'cause more people would most likely see it there. Exactly! it would allow for people to have even more outlets, and the discord thing is like a side benefit. I believe that there is already more people on this forums than there are in the discord. Dont quote me on that though, I dont know how many discord members there are.
I personally would like the videos to have their own little post preface and description, and posting them on the Discord usually means just the link. I really liked the forums version of things, and I think we should stick with that.
A forum allowing users to post MCC-related videos would definitely be helpful. Especially for exposure. Not just in the Discord, but here on the forums as well. This idea wouldn't be a bad addition to the forums.
Hello, This sounds like a great idea! Adding this to the new forums could help bring players to the server! Hopefully this can be implemented, and people can put what they created and spread this to other people! You can put this in the Community Ticket section! Good Luck with your idea.
This would definitely be a good thing to add to this forums. When MCC's forums were on enjin, they had a YouTube forum and it was used quite a bit. I think it would help people that are trying to show off their content and grow themselves and hopefully one day get YouTube rank.
I agree with this, I currently have no place I can put my Survival Games video, and it's kinda saddo man.. A videos sub-forum would be awesome!
I like the sound of this idea but instead of the category being named 'Videos' change it to 'Media' where it encompasses more such as screenshots, drawings, etc.
I do agree there should be a dedicated place where YouTube Videos and Twitch Streams should be placed as they surely don't belong in the off-topic section. The off-topic section tends to get spammed with exactly what it's there for "off-topic posts" and YouTube videos tend to get lost. I hope Alex sees how this idea is a necessity.
This is not a bad idea, If this was implemented to the forums, it would be cool to browse through and have a look at what vids people have sent. This could also be beneficial for people just starting up YT or (general vids) requesting feedback from videos, or giving general ideas
This sounds like a great way to give exposure to some newer content creators. Hope this is implemented.
Hey, I really agree on this!! I hope this will get added! I understand what you mean by putting Links in the Off-Topic area and it gets lost!! I think it will be a Good thing to have.. Maybe called "content" so people can upload their vids and streams etc.
