    Hello everyone!
I hope everyone is doing good this Friday!
So today I was playing skywars with my friend and then we were messing around in /pc chat because there is no filter. And as stupid as I am at 2 am I said "/pc Ill ddos myself (random numbers)". And it happened to be a staff member in that party. I got muted for leaking personal info and I had no clue that was mutable because it doesn't say anywhere on the rules. I'm not asking for my mute to get removed since I did brake a rule and it was such a stupid thing to do even if it was a joke.

But please add in the rules "Sev 3 mutes will be issued even if they are typed in party chat (/pc)" so no others have to get muted for the same reason as me, not knowing Sev 3 mutes were an exception in party chat.

I wanna say this one more time, never joke about ddosing/doxing. Don't be as stupid as me!
(I also made sure it's not a real IP which it wasn't)

    Have a grate day
    /Skin

Hello! I do not really see any need to change the rules since there already is precautions/warnings that are already stated in the rules for what happened to you. As well as, there is no warning or information in the rules page (only on the discord announcements channel) about party and guild chat having exceptions to severity 1 and 2 rules. The rules page encourages the rules to be followed everywhere even if someone cannot be muted. The only way you would have known about this party chat and sev3 thing is if youre in the disord, and this type of information is only started int the community discord.

for your situation, i'm pretty sure you can appeal your mute right away seeing as (1) the fake ip you gave you stated to be yours and (2) it's a fake ip. you can appeal here.

Overall, I do not see a reason to add this to the rules when there is no general mention of private chats on the rules page. really, the only mention of private messages is minor and they only put that info for certain rules. -1 lol

    Hello!
And thank you for your good-explained respond!
I talked to the staff member who muted me and the staff member said I can appeal it in 3 moths instead of 6. I don't really complain but all I'm saying is that it would not hurt to add this sev 3 rule to the rule page so the rules gets even more clear and reduces the chance of misunderstanding.

    Hey!

Thank you for writing this thread.

From my perspective, this isn't a very pertinent issue and I wouldn't see it being prioritized anytime soon. Once you read the rules, you understand that chat offenses refer to the chat as a whole, being that the reason why the staff team didn't believe such a thing would be that necessary. If we were to add such feature, we would have to add information about the rules being applied to any form of communication, from signs to commands such as the ones mentioned by puposaurus.

The examples above are mostly known by the community, and, when analyzing the situation and comparing it to ongoing events, I don't believe that this should be an exception to the point where it would be added to the rules, as they are, in my opinion, clear enough for us to understand them.

    Thank you!

I agree, this isn't necessary at the moment, however, if the staff members believe this should be added to the website as well as to the discord, this wouldn't be a bad idea as well.
