okay so if you guys are making a certain thread asking we questions about how to spend credits or how to do a certain thing on the game/website please once your questions have been answered lock your threads. A lot of people I see keep posting about the exact same thing on people’s threads and there is no need once there question has been answered in full. If you see someone post on the forums and they haven’t locked there thread but there question has been answered please do not go and post the exact same thing as everyone else unless you have a valid thing to add that no one else has mentioned.

    Thanks for reading, Nxgget.

    firstly...
    their* ;)

    secondonly..
heyo heyo! this is actually something in the forums rules... "Persistent Posting" -- https://mccentral.org/rules
i agree with you on that one...i check forums daily and i've seen threads/posts that have been answered, but there's always a second one after it with the same points made.
some people might say im guilty of doing this.. but would like to point out, most times someone hits the reply button before i do (*cough ImConcerned* *cough* <3).. and/or i usually try to add something additional if it hasnt been mentioned yet in posts that have questions or suggestions...

also, on the new forums, there isnt an option for creators of threads to lock their own posts, it has to be a mod+ to lock 'em which kinda sucks sometimes..

    Firstly...
secondly* ;) Sorry just had to point out the hypocrisy xD

    Secondly...
This is possible to do on Xenforo, and fairly easy at that. The owners would just need to put in the effort to implement it.

yes i know it’s possible for xeforno, i’ve been able to do it for other servers with xeforno... and adding this wouldn’t be a bad idea. i enjoyed being able to lock my own thread back when there was enjin. i don’t see the harm in adding this... so yehhh (:

That wouldn't work because the thread OP is allowed to bump their thread at anytime only once. So if it auto locks after 14 days, then the OP won't be able to bump it.

We have forum rules / warnings in place for that reason

It means when no one is commenting on the thread and it becomes inactive you comment on it again so it goes back to the top of the list, it’s bumping it to the top again.

Wait what how on earth did you do the bbcode for a quote without it turning into a quote :joy:

?????????? Did you even read the thread??? Or my reply??? The OP is asking people to lock their threads once they get the answer they want, I was replying to puposaurus who pointed out that they can't. Nowhere, ANYWHERE, did ANYONE mention auto locking.
