A few phat ideas for a reset

    Since survival still hasn't reset yet, I would like to share some ideas that would make the next reset a blast.

    1. Being able to play on any version
    - Over my time of being in calls with other & older Survival players (Including myself) think that having to constantly switch or like PvP on 1.12.2 is a bit ridiculous. The reason I say this is because if the PvP was reverted back to 1.8 I can see older players or more people play and of course even have the newer features for whatever reason.
    2. Include an AFK timer
    - This might be a bit controversial but most people who make money don't do it through constant work and like be constantly moving (without afking or being in an afk pool). I think this would be a fun idea to challenge players and whatnot. Example would be if a player was at their plot for 30+ minutes, they get kicked to the spawn or hub (obviously not completely out of mcc yk)
    3. Group System
    - In factions you can have your own faction that is basically a team, along with Skyblock Island mates and the gang system in Prison. Seeing that Survival doesn't have one (yet) I think having something for Survival would be a fun & experimental idea to at least try once in a season.

    May seem like a good idea on paper, but implementing this would be a nightmare. Forwards compatibility (eg. 1.8 server supporting 1.15) works because there's no physical additions 1.8 has that 1.15 doesn't. However if you switch those around so you're playing 1.8 on a 1.15 server, I can think of at least 50 things that would break/crash 1.8 clients. And simply using placeholders for items like leather chestplate for elytra won't replace lost gameplay mechanics. 1.8 clients won't be able to use/see anything from 1.9+, and for things like elytras it will just look like flight hacks. Also Survival was Never PvP-based. Not going to progress backwards just so you can click faster.

    Unless I'm mistaken a few resets ago they re-did the economy system & disabled piston farms to encourage manual farming, but idk what it's like now I haven't played in a bit.

    Also it's super easy to avoid an afk timer.

    Survival already has /plot trust, this just seems like an addition that serves no actual purpose.

    hi cutie. okay so. I’m not rly gonna comment on the number 1 thing u said bc I don’t really have any opinions to it. Either way doesn’t rly affect me too badly ya know?
    For number 2: I’m torn on this idea but I’m more partial to having one. Tbh I don’t think any server should just be “how long can I stay on this server till I’m rich?” Ya know? Plus like, considering there’s already been an announcement about the reset (thank u mcc), I feel like with the jobs thing they mentioned there shouldn’t be a huge issue with afk-ers. The only reason why I’m like torn is just bc I leave my pc for a long duration of time and im just used to staying on my plot afk’d LOL. And like, yeah, ppl can find ways to bypass it but that’s with literally almost everything. ppl can find ways to bypass anything no matter what. but not everyone so. woo.
    number three. okay so honestly I rly like this. Because I think ppl who don’t really play survival understand why this should be implemented. Survival is a small community but everyone has their groups. I know this season a lot of people are gonna be working together to make stuff and I feel like w the group thing, it’s a good way to just communicate to those you’re working with and stuff. I’m +1. love tha post my dude
