Heya I have been playing on mcc for a while, mostly on minigames and some sub-servers. I have noticed one quite weird difference in minigames and sub-servers though, when you are let's say on survival or prison. If you are high enough of a rank you can do /craft to get a GUI of a workbench pop up and you can use that. Simple. https://speedtest.vet/ https://vidmate.bid/ But in minigames if you want to do the same to craft sword or arrows etc. /craft doesn't work, it has to be /workbench I know it's a minor thing, sure, but it is something which would make it less irritating to play the game as you wouldn't need to type whole "workbench" and can just type /craft I have asked this around from my friends who play sg quite a bit, and they agree with me. Tell me your thoughts of this down below if you have any (: Would love to see this being changed, but we will see if it will happen as it is a quite small change. -Jinesh
The /wb shortcut isn’t a thing in minigames And the command is only available on SG I’m pretty sure the dude was suggesting a command that’s available elsewhere but ok
Hey there! The reason minigames don't already have /workbench shortcuts is because subservers use a popular plugin called Essentials. Essentials has multiple shortcuts for the command (/craft - as you mentioned -, and /wb.) I'd love to see this added in a future update and I'm sure this will be implemented then.
SG used to have a /craft command wayyyyy back but i think due to bugs they had to remove it and replaced the command with /workbench
As 89p said here, it might have something to do with our Essentials plugin which is found across all of our prominent sub-servers, and as you may notice by the name it is pretty essential bringing useful commands to us like /craft. /workbench is an alias for this command meaning /workbench will do the same thing as /craft and /wb, just at different commands for convenience. It may be a simpler issue where Essentials is not installed on our Minigames servers (which there are hundreds of) or an even simpler issue where it's a permission oversight and /workbench is allowed for players who have that perk, whereas /craft isn't or is a more complex issue where our Minigames plugin handles the /workbench command and is not capable of processing the /craft command as set in the code. While this command may be a thing on other subservers, there is no telling if the Essentials plugin is installed on our Minigames servers because once you type a command the server doesn't recognize/you don't have permissions to use that command it just says this. I imagine this is a default Spigot placeholder message customized form Minigames, and when I type /craft and /wb, the same message comes up. Only /workbench works. I agree that this may cause some confusion, and it's nice to see you brought it up. Either way, it isn't a deep issue and hopefully in the coming months when we see more and more innovation in our Minigames, we can definitely expect some convenient perks to be added along the way i.e: /craft Hope I helped, have a wonderful day.
