Hello! I am making a thread today to give you some tips and tricks to help you when enchanting! Fair warning: This is a very long thread!

(Part of this guide will only work if you are Diamond rank or higher, in these parts i will change the font colour to blue)

    Tips:

    • When you are enchanting and you get an enchant you don't like for example, fire protection III, hold on to it as you can place it in a crafting table with another bad enchant and get back a blank item which can be enchanted again (This will not work for books sadly :c)
    • If you are going to be doing a lot of enchanting of the same item for example, boots, Keep some books or other items on you to enchant as a buffer to avoid getting bad enchants. this can be really helpful as you can sometimes get valuable items from the extra enchants! (Fishing rod's for pvp are a great item to enchant because most of the time you will get unbreaking III)
    • I'm surprised by how many people don't know this but you can combine your P3 with another P3 to make P4! this unfortunately will not work with p3 from your kits.
    • When combining two different items for example, two swords, Switch them between each other as sometimes it'll use less xp so its good to check!
    • Another obvious one, If you want to get the best possible enchants, make sure your enchantment table has 15 Book cases around it! this is the minimum for a level 30 enchant!
Okay! so this part of the thread will only really work if you have access to the /bottle command!
To make a level 3 enchant you have to have 30 levels, This means when you have 100 levels (/bottle 31,000 = 100 levels) you can get a total of 24 level 3 enchants. However, if you use your /bottle command wisely you can make a total of 97 level 3 enchants from 100 levels! To make sure i am correct in my theory i tested it today! Below is the results of me enchanting from just a bottle of 100 levels and then me enchanting from my method!

These are the enchants i got from using the Level 100 bottle:

These on the other hand are the enchants i got from my method:

    https://gyazo.com/2284c2eaf2abb44d1823365a7ef72fff

Now i'll explain how i figured it out and how it was possible!
Most of you probably know but the higher the level your xp bar is the more xp you have. When you collect xp it will slowly take more and more xp to level up. Keeping this in mind i wondered if i was actually losing xp by enchanting with a level 100 bottle, and i was right.
After realising this was not an efficient way to enchant i started trying to figure things out, Obviously i still need 30 levels to enchant. So what i did was, i worked out how much xp is in 27 levels, and then worked out how much xp it took to get to level 30. From here i started bottling into those 2 amounts.

To do my method of enchanting you will need to bottle one bottle of xp with 1093 xp (so /bottle 1093) and as many bottles of 307 as you can (/bottle 307)

Next you will need to splash ONE bottle of 307 xp on yourself. This will bring you to level 30, then just continue the pattern by splashing another after doing an enchant. This method is a little slower but definitely pays off as its over 3x the amount of enchants!

    Xp Values:

    • 31,000 xp = 100 Levels
    • 1400 = 30 Levels
    • 1093 = 27 Levels
    • 3o7 = 14 Levels
Due to there size the 307 xp bottles can also be good for repairing/combining!

Thank you for reading! if you have any more questions about how this works or any tips that could help improve the method or help others just in general feel free to message me on discord, Haxi#0001
