Its been bothering me for a while and I heard that more people also find it very annoying. Every time someone grabs the flag you get a message in front of your screen and when it is a bit hectic it keeps popping up. so hereby i want to start a petition to make that sentence smaller so people still notice a flag is grabbed or recovered but you'll also be able to pvp properly and see where you are hitting.
Hello! I know what you're talking about, and I've experienced this problem as well. When someone grabs the flag or if it is stolen/recovered, it becomes hard to aim a bow, since the target is covered by the text. I don't think they need to change the titles (it's called a title if it's the text that goes in the center of your screen), although perhaps they could make the message not last as long. Maybe after 2.5 or 3 seconds it gets cleared, so that we have time to see the message but it won't interfere with pvp for long. Still, it's not a demanding issue, as this only interferes with pvp occasionally. The titles don't take that long to clear, so they would just be making a very small change if they did this. +0.5
I can't disagree with this more. The text is there to alert you when a flag has been picked up or returned, it is short and not a problem at all. Even if it distracts you during PvP, the text disappears very quickly. Making it smaller or shorter won't make gameplay any better, and it might make CTF harder or more hectic to play in the long run. Things are fine as they are, -1.
i see, first of all thanks for the reply :) and second, changing the time could be an option. I also thought about it a bit more and maybe there's the option of making the title a bit thinner, so the letters are thinner and better to look through. It won't interfere as much in pvp and you still get notified enough to notice it.
hello! if you find the text annoying durnig pvp, you can just hit F1 to hide it, but also it does hide your crossshair... i think rather than removing it, since as zonafar already mentioned players like it because it helps them defend their flag, make it toggable. players can toggle it off/on before the game starts similar to how players can toggle the message for when an ability is used.
