This Server's Anti cheat is Overdue for an Upgrade?

    I'm sure SO many people have talked about this topic already, but it seems the more and more I've played on this server the more and more hackers have come, especially since the recent hypixel ban wave. I propose a solution to this problem, a new anticheat. I've found one called Verus which some people claim is used on Minemen club. To get the anticheat you have to get it through their discord server discord.me/verus
    The cheapest version is $60 and the most expensive is $175 which I'm sure this server can afford with how many immortal and legend ranks play on here.

    I know this post probably wont be taken seriously by any staff member, but I'm still posting this anyway if there is even a chance.

    I really like mccentral as a server is quite fun to play on and I've been playing on it quite actively for some years now seeing succumb to hackers that can bypass the anticheat and fly around rarely get banned, and if they do get removed from the game is usually a kick to the hub where they easily rejoin.

    I hope this post gains some attention from the staff community, and I know how hard it would be to implement such a big change to a server this large, let alone configure the anticheat to make it best fit each independent minigame and gamemode.

    Sadly, purchasing an anticheat like this would have it's own issues. As it isn't a custom anticheat, and instead one for purchase, there will be most likely be ways to exploit it and get passed it. The developers are working on an anticheat which will be custom coded, hence less easy to bypass. However, in the meantime we would recommend either reporting any hackers to the forums, or to quickly get the attention of the staff you can type the hacker name and their offence in the #support channel in the discord server.     Yes an anticheat for most people would be ideal. I know its a topic that has come up in conversation over the years. I think for the reasons you said it would be hard to implement a whole new system to the server. It may bring up lots of problems! Ultimately its the decision of the server owners! However a suggestion for now is downloading a free and easy to use recording software. This way when you see these 'pesky' hackers you can record them and report them https://mccentral.org/community/forums/reports/ or as said above you can normally get quick responses from the staff team on the discord!

    You guys don't seem to understand, Verus is an amazing anti cheat, you cannot use any blatant hacks on a properly configured anti-cheat. To this day, servers like mineman have practically no bypass, the only cheats that can bypass it are ghost clients such as Vape. While this may not completely eliminate cheaters, this would discourage most cheaters from logging on and would allow for staff to focus on the closet cheaters within the server. As for reporting, reporting doesn't do too much, these light punishments allow for easy usage of alts and vpns, if these punishments for hacking became more severe I would see the use of reports. Overall, Verus is something that is dearly needed within MCC, but Alex seemingly already bought a different anti-cheat which may be implemented in this "summer minigame revamp."
