    Hey,

Recently I've been recording and reporting a multitude of hackers on MC Central due to the influx of hackers on the server.

I'm just wondering what everyone else does to report players from recording to filling out the report form.

My process is first recording the offending player then editing down the clip to make the Mods job easier uploading it to YouTube and then filling out the form to the best of my ability.

Interested to read what everyone else does.

I mean that's pretty much the only way to report a hacker, if you're looking for the reports to be viewed and rejected/accepted. If not could just message a mod on discord the video clip and they should ban if appropriate.

just get nvidia geforces instant replay
you can set it to 15s so when it just happens you just quickly upload it to yt or dropbox.

  4. Hey!

    My method is

    1 - See a hacker

2 - Win+G to open game bar recorder

3 - Try to record hacker

4 - Post on YT and report!

    .

My clips are usually 10-30 seconds long which is not that bad for moderators. I usually try to show blatant proof to be able to make it clear

    Hello Wilbur!

Many different players use different clients and such go record, but my preferred one is the windows built in one. I am still trying to figure out how to get gayzo to record as that’s a thing, but it’s really laggy for me.

When I get a clip of a hacker, I first watch the video to check how good it is and make sure you can see the hacks being used. I then crop it, making sure there is nothing unnecessary in the video, and then post to YouTube.

A question for you: what do you personally write in the description of the report? Some players just put the URL or link to video, and nothing else but personally I write a few sentences to tell the staff member what hacks to look out for that the player was using etc. I’d love to hear your preference!

    Thanks,
    Nikki

    Hello!
I usually start recording right before the game starts, and jump off my island as fast as I can (If there's a faster way to die, let me know :)). Some scaffold hackers only hack in an obvious way at the very beginning of the game, and since there's a delay after I press win+G, it might be too late to press the button after seeing they hack. After recording all the games, I use video editors to trim the videos, and then upload them to my Youtube Channel and fill out the reports.

    I record on obs.

    #1 I find the cheater,
    #2 Start recording,
    #3 Post on YouTube,
#4 While it is uploading I fill in the report,
#5 Publish video and copy URL to report.

It usually takes me less than 2 minutes for my report to be fully submitted with eligible video evidence.
    Thank you,

    Hey Nikki!

I do much that same as you. Basically, I just tell whoever is looking over my appeal what to look for and ask for their opinion on my recording ( Which I usually never get :/ ) and then post the link to the YouTube link (The Evidence)

    I really appreciated you responce : )

(Also sorry it took so long to respond! )

I'm recording pretty much consistently for every 20-30 minutes and then I spend a little bit of time to review footage to look back at any users I thought were either blatantly hacking or at least suspicious.

Labelling videos is important if you're intending to keep the videos for future ban proofs. Username and ban reason are a must and the description should have, date of recording and so on since you may not submit all of your reports on the same day. Otherwise that's pretty much it. You should cache unedited footage for up to a week incase there's some slip-ups. I have about 2-3 hours of raw footage a week that fits in barely with my storage but it's a very good habit to have.

I'm very adamant about keeping my proofs at all times so false ban situations never arise. My advice to ban reports would be to look at it from the perspective of a staff member. You should have a reasonable cause for suspicion, enough proof to back it up and a lot of details to cover any edge cases.

    Hey,

I use NVIDIA Shadow Play instant record which records the last 15 seconds of game play. I only save replays which there are blatant hackers and I upload the video unlisted which takes about a minute then report them here on the website. If there is a hacker that isn't as blatant I would record 2 - 3 clips for more sufficient evidence!

    Hello,

I always record before the game is about to begin when I get a clip of the hacker I save the recording trim it to about 5-15 seconds depending on how blatant the hacker is, then upload it to Youtube channel and fill out the report.

I use Xbox game bar recorder to record.

    PAINFUL.

    1) Find a hacker
    2) Get recording software to work
    3) software doesn't F'ING woRK!!
    4) tell the software you love it, but please work for once
    5) share memories with the software you have together
    6) cry a little
    7) scream "phych!" and click start recording
    8) software starts up then crashes your game
    9) quit trying OR keep trying
    10) open up minecraft and repeat steps 1-8 again
    11) try for the 10001019th time and it works!!!
    12) by now its been hours and the hacker is gone and most people are offline

But yes, this is why i try my hardest to avoid games with hackers :D. when im in games with them I do record them, its just painful to get it started and to work when its started. ALSO its painful to edit it as well bcs i have to watch myself die to hackers repetitively and remind myself how trash at PVP I really am.

Thanks for reading, Have a good day/night

    G’day!

So to start off, on my desktop I have 2 separate folders. One is called Recordings and the other one is named Hackers. Before hoping into a skywars game for example, I always have my OBS open and ready to record. If I see a hacker, I press my hot key and it records automatically. I normally try to not kill the hacker to give report team staff members a better chance to see that the player is indeed a hacker, then, I press my hotkey and go into the hub to do the following: check my recording and verify if it’s valid. If it is, I rename the recording to the name of the player that was hacking and I drag and drop the mp4 file into my Hackers folder. Then, I open streamable on google and upload the file. On the report page of the forums, I paste my video link in the description box and there you go. With this method, you always have proof of the hacker in case anything goes wrong. Plus, I find that this method keeps everything very organized.

By the way, the chances of Nikki reading this are small but what I type in the description box, for example the player was playing skywars using kill aura, scaffold and anti knock back, therefore i’d wright the following:

This player was using Kill Aura, Scaffold and Anti KB in Skywars
    leave a space
    video link

That’s how I do it and I find it’s pretty neat;)

    Have a good day:)
