I need help, I recently changed my minecraft username so I restarted my server. Since the new update has been released its not letting me go on to the minecraft central server. Iv'e tried resetting my computer and Iv'e watched many videos that sadly did not work :/ Anyone please lmk how i can fix this.
Hello! As 1.16 was just released today, most minecraft servers have not adapted to it, and that's because they use a plugin called "ViaVersion," which allows players with versions other than what the server is running on to join. Once ViaVersion releases an update allowing players to join with 1.16 clients (the server is on 1.8), then you should be able to join again. This usually doesn't take long, often 1-2 days. Until then, you can still join with any version up to 1.15. Thank you so much. I have carefully followed the steps of the shared thread. Sadly, these steps some how did not work. When I attempt to join the MCC server it says "Failed to log in: the servers are down for maitnence". I will wait until tomorrow to see if anything new happens. Are you using 1.16 to connect to the server? If yes: lmk and I'll directly help you change versions If no: wait a bit, that error occurs sometimes (and it's on Minecraft's side) but it tends to fix itself
Hey LenaHed, As creeper7777777 said, 1.16 was released today. We need to update all of our servers and proxies to support backwards and fowards compatability with 1.16. Use a lower version, or wait till its updated (Probably within a few hours). Thread locked.
