Discord mutes

I feel that this is a good idea because everyone should have the permissions to report an incident even if they are muted. There's not problems with this because they can just make 2 roles for a mute. Like instead of the "Muted" role on the discord there could be one for everything except the Support channel and one role for the the ENTIRE server if they abuse the support channel for it's ability to talk. I like this :)

 

To be fair MCC uses Dyno and if I am not mistaken dyno doesn't offer a custom temp role system, it does offer role give but not with time (like mute). Besides out of all mutes 40% are coming from support alone, and if a command by the name of /support mute "were to be added" then it would be a mess. If a user is unmuted and they still have support muted role, they would ask a staff member to remove it (not any but the one that muted them).
Besides, they were muted in the first place for a reason, and they don't deserve to own access to talk at all, how to deal with support trolls then?

Still, allow them to talk in support when they were muted for trolling?

Either way, any member can always DM a staff, and if this were to be implemented this would be a quite big mess. (this is all my opinion)

This will not be happening, If you wanna report players, dont get muted. You can also still contact staff members via forums, discord and in game.​

 

Like Unadvised said, if you get muted in the discord you don’t deserve to have access to still type away. I don’t see this coming, and as the admin said himself, it won’t. Just be careful what you say! You can still report players via the forums! Hope this helped! Plain and simple, if you get muted you are muted for a reason and shouldn’t be able to keep talking. No matter the channel it is in.

 

I personally think that there should, if anything, be a separate reporting channel which is for muted players only.
