So at the moment, factions is being reset. With this comes a lot of players that are not aware of the reset asking things like "Why is factions down", and "This server sucks factions isn't working". To prevent this, when you try to join a server that is down for reset, they get a message telling them all the information they need. That makes it easier for them to understand, and less annoying to those who have to answer 50 people asking the same question.
I think this would be a great idea to implement. Currently, the server has in its description message "Factions Reset June 5th" but it's easy for many players to gloss over that while joining/not see it if using Direct Connect. A simple, one line message stating that the server is down and the date/time it'll be back up would be super helpful to minimize any confusion. Great suggestion!
Hi!, I can see where you're coming from, but I'm sure anyone in-game would be able to just say it reset. But, most of the players are active in forums and are in the MCC discord, where both talk about resets of any kind. Maybe in players inventory in /hub, there can be a book that shows players new things happening in the server. + 0.5
Nobody will bother reading that. Rookies just join the server and ignore the announcements. I think my suggestion would be more convenient for those who just want to play and don't care about the server. Sit in the hub for 10 minutes and you can see where I'm coming from. Edit: I do also think your suggestion should be added just in general.
Hey, I agree with this. This will prevent many people asking about the reset, and it would come in handy. There is a setting that shows about the Faction reset in the lobby, but adding this would be awesome as well. +1 Have a nice day! -FourNut
Ok, I like the book idea. For anyone who plays hypixel, they know that when you first enter the game, there is a book for people to read and it actually has some useful information in there sometimes, although it is a bit annoying. Maybe players can read the book when they first enter the game but later on, they can disable the setting for this so that people who are active and knowledgable and know what is going on in the game, do not have to close a book all the time (even though its just one click), but thats just my opinion. We could also put the 40% sale inside of the book or like some revamps or something special for people to be excited about when they come onto mccentral
