I have been muted before for Chat Flood and it was the biggest regret on this server, it was a 14 day mute for saying 4 lines in chat. This mute has now been expired for a long time, but I think that the owners should reconsider this rule or put some more restrictions in to stop it. I have asked staff members and you can say 100 messages in chat, but if they are similar or the same, it's only a sev 1 mute. If you say 4 messages in chat within seconds, it's a sev 2 mute and sometimes a 14 day mute like in my case. To be honest I am not that bothered by someone saying 4 messages in chat, I just don't care and I am sure others don't either. If 20 people were constantly flooding the chat, that would be a different story, but usually it's only one person talking really fast and group spam is a whole other rule on itself. I think it would be better if you would bump this down to a sev 1 or even put a restriction where if you say too many things at once, it stops u from typing for a tiny bit and gives u a warning and if this happens 3 or so times in a 2 minute time frame then they can be muted.
    Thanks,

    hello.
in the rules, chat flood is defined to be “5-6” messages in a row of which there are variants like how active chat is/time stamps and also what those messages are.
as well as, ig technically you can send 100 messages in a row, if it’s something like factions where chat is super active and it doesn’t make a difference. However, if it’s something like survival where chat isn’t that active and
    you
    say
    100
    messages
    like
    this
yes, this would be chat flood.
spam is sending 3-4 messages that are similar w/i a chat box

i can’t answer why you were given a chat flood mute off of sayinf 4 messages in a row, if your mute was how you described it, im not the one who muted you.
most times for chat flood, players do get somewhat of a warning if a staff is present. and same applies to regular spam, but if you are reported no warning is given.. which is usually the case for chat flood, and also applies to severity 1 chat punishments

i think lowering the severity on chat flood would almost make it useless to have it as a separate rule. I do agree that 14days for a mute for something as minor of that is a little much, but rules are rules and the mods don’t decide punishment lengths there’s a system that does that depending on your own punishment history.
I get that chat flood is p subjective when it comes to if chat is dead and someone isn’t in plot chat and they fill up a chatbox, but their messages are still spaced apart. like, that’s not chat flood.. it’s more like,
    again,
    sending
    5-6+
    messages
    like this
    that kinda
    makes
it obvious on how it’s chat flood

anywyas, overall, i -1 this suggestion since i feel that having chat flood have a more severe punishment can some-what encourage players to not do it for the punishment length or even for players to learn a lil more if they are muted for this. if all that makes sense

hope i mentioned all your points, i think i did get a little offtrack..
    have a great day
