Hello everyone, hope you all have it nice now in these times. But I have realized that people can vote for someone else on another IP address. So the point is that people can vote on an alternative computer to make them self come higher up on the top-voter list. This has happened to me and instead of having the maximum of the vote I have 1 lower. I am not saying that hiding the vote-list would totally remove the problem but it would be much harder to ruin for others. Feel free to comment down below if I am wrong or if maybe you have affected by this problem. Other than that I wish you an amazing rest of the day/night.
hey! MCC has no control over these voting websites. however, to counter what you have mentioned, it actually doesn't work for someone to vote on another PC/IP for the name username twice. These voting websites only allow each IP and each IGN 1 vote per 24 hours. Therefore, hiding the vote-list wouldn't do anything.
Yes I know. But say that you have 2 different devices each with separate IP. Then on one of your device you vote for MCC with your own username. On the second device you vote for example Hypixel with a username who have voted on MCC everyday exept today. Then that player can not vote on MCC later that day and will therefore lose one vote which can lead to them not getting the gift card. So if the vote-list would the removed, then no one can see who has got the most votes. I know I am not the best at explaining but this is the best I can. i don’t see how this could help prevent people from voting on different ips. Each user can only vote once a day.
Hello, The thing is that other people can vote on another server than mcc with someone else username to get themselves up on the top voter list. So basically they have 2 computers and on one of them they go to vote #1 and vote for mcc with his/her own username and on the other computer he/she goes to vote #1 and vote for the guy the highest up on the leaderbord, in that way he/she will have 1 less vote than what he would have since he cant vote for mcc with his username. I would sum up what you said by simply saying that someone can vote for someone else on the top voter list for a different server, thus taking away the ability for that player to vote for mcc
